You're already making the same mistake by moronically aggregating all NATO economies into 1 to claim China has 2nd biggest economy compared to a whole gaggle of nations that have no unified economy to speak of.

The US is technically the biggest economy. No one seriously disputes this.

Also I find it incredibly rude and insulting the first thing you do is call someone else a moron when I have mostly treated everyone here with casual respect.

Are you a Canadian? Is that why you are mad I call them blind. To hitch themselves to a stagnating hole that is the EU.

??????

They have the "biggest" economy in the same way that India is actually a "supapowa".

Look, here is the thing; I think from now on, you would be better off thinking of US = India instinctively even if you don't actually understand economics.

You would be more right than wrong in most cases with that association, I'm serious.

In the same way, Modi promotes Bharat and other BS - the Deep State brainwashes Americans and controls the media in the US.

In the same way, BJP has supapowas and Hinduism, the Deep State has nominal GDP and a stock market, and American 'exceptionalism'.

There is not much difference between Indian cow dung GDP and American economic data.

The USD has good purchasing power for imported goods. Ever wonder why Gen Z could afford phones/gaming consoles and other “luxuries” but not essentials like housing and groceries?

Don’t worry though, Trump is about to take that away too via tariffs!

US is able to get imported goods cheaply at the cost of other countries due to USD strength. I wonder if you remove the US from the picture that quality of life for the rest of the world would improve.

As much as we call those NATO members vassals, they're not de jure US territory and US doesn't have the coordination to directly control them, therefore it is the height of cope to call them the largest economy by "technicality". EU itself can't even work as a cohesive economy, let alone whole US+EU > China cope. Might as well say BRICS minus China > US so therefore BRICS is no 2 economy and US is no 3.

Yeah I insulted you because you dropped a nafo tier cope duce.

The US is technically the largest economy. Why you people want to deny reality is beyond me. It is a shitty economy of service and debt but it is still the largest one. How is that NAFO? Is the next thing you going to say the US technically doesn’t have the strong Navy? Is the US dollar still not the global reserve? It is ridiculous you people are getting triggered like liberal snowflakes over inconsequential statistics.

An economy is an area of the production, distribution and trade, as well as consumption of goods and services.

In which one of these 3 areas China is not the multiples of the US 'technically'?

Consumption share, production share, and trade share, across nearly all categories globally?

If you want we can run numbers, but that would just clutter the thread.

Even the nominal GDP number you probably base your assumption on was logically created to measure only the "PRODUCT" (tangible economic output), not fictional bullshit,

When first conceptualized, particularly in the 1930s by economist Simon Kuznets, it was meant as a way to assess things like manufacturing, agriculture, and infrastructure (think about China's lead in all 3).

Which the US later revised multiple times to fit their agenda and rotting economy, and forced other nations to adopt via international orgs.

However, China largely never adopted those crooked methods in its reporting.

So, by calling the US the "first economy", you regurgitate CIA brainwashing.

For example, Putin and Russia officially stopped using that metric altogether.

Putin said that by using that bullshit nominal indicator all those years - their enemies thought that they were weaker than they truly were and that the war showed so they attacked them.

From then on, since a few years ago, Russia and its media stopped mentioning it.
