Cherry picking to pick a pointless internet fight is what you are trying to do. China has already fallen. It was actually an US puppet state for a global reality TV show. According to what you keep trying to imply. The US is the largest economy as I said before of service and debt. The fact you are in severe denial over this is incredible.

Adding this so I don’t have to make another post. The US economy is measured in US dollars, which is more valuable than other currencies as the global reserve. That will naturally distort the image of the global economy. Making the US the largest economy. They are the largest by quantity which I don’t know why this is so controversial to say.

Yes U.S is the largest economy in USD nominal sense. In terms of purchasing power, China is about 20-25% greater than U.S.

I wouldnt be surprised that with a China's 2x larger economy by PPP, it still wouldn't be able to surpass America in nominal figures. It is distorted way of viewing things. I don't think there will be a country that can surpass America in nominal figures in lifetime.

You have to understand that nominal GDP is the sum of all combined wages. Because U.S keeps increasing their minimum wages at a quick pace every few years, it is impossible to overtake U.S. For example, if the U.S decided to increase the min wage to 20 bucks/hr in tomorrow, the nominal GDP will 30%.

It is a distorted way of looking at things. But it doesn't mean your purchasing power will increase by 30%.

GDP is very little to do with wages ..... you need to take economics 101 about GDP

I actually differ on this topic, in the context of living in the US for decades and understanding various angles from within or outside. To think like Mearsheimer as an excise of geopolitical analysis without any bindings or burdens, there is no sufficient evidence that says USAID has failed US. You may argue USAID has failed the American public, in terms of scope/level of corruption, but I doubt you have sufficient data to argue against the net benefits US (the country) has accrued since USAID was conceived. I am not auguring in terms of moral or social standards. In the United States, if you took out its raw capitalism, everything would not make sense any longer. People pledged allegiance to the constitution only and alone, but people came to the country, at the very first time, not for the greatness of its constitution.

That being said, I don't think China will ever practice like that, for its historical traditions and conventions. I don't think the Chinese public would accept that regardless of the net benefits the country might have gained. But I am convinced now that the American public actually have taken its net benefits for granted without knowing it or acknowledging it, which is one of the great ironies of our time.

It is entertaining watching all those threads related to DOGE in general and USAID in particular. But it is US media vis-a-vis US politics, which has become a national sport rather than a national statecraft.

If making your people suffer while appearing like a super power on global stage is a net benefit then a certain supapowa is the most successful country in world history.

Earlier, JD Vance stirred controversy when he reportedly stormed out of a dinner with heads of state on Monday night when the Chinese vice-premier “started singing the praises of trade and the UN”, Telegraph UK reported citing a Frech journalist present at the site.

China Vice-Premier starts talking and JD Vance leaves the room in anger.
