Which came first... The Indian student getting killed or Chinese students getting killed? I suspect it was the Indian student because why would they care about Chinese students getting killed in the first place? Indians have soured against Russia because one of their citizens died? Well unless they can find evidence that the Indian student was targeted by the Russians, that's what can happen when you're stuck in a war? According to Beijing no such named Chinese people in Ukraine exists. The only reason why they would "care" about making up Chinese students being killed is because they somehow got an idea that would turn regular Chinese against Russia.
