Djokovic does NOT support west, as well as vast majority of Serbian people (including me), he only cares of people, players. He is fighting with ATP for years, in favor of lower ranked players, so they could have more support and bigger piece of ATP cake. Considering all that, what he said was not fall to Anglos lies, but just worry of Chinese player.
Unfortunately China had wait bit too long to show that everything is under control, those videos should have been released first instead of mail...
To walk the line (a smear campaign) setup by the western media and WTA's major finaciers (the west) is at least brainwashed stupidity, and at worst a pawn and collabrator. Djokovic's care is misplaced. As a Serbian, how could he talk the same line as the people who bombed the hell out of Serbia? How could he explain to himself that "the west cared for the Serbian people in Kosovo"? Is he worried for the lives of Serbians in Kosovo?

I don't know much about today's young Serbians although I do have two Serbian friends of my age. But as a Chinese, any Chinese person (ethnic or Citizen) is a traitor once he/she acts in the same way in the fashion of "caring and kindness" without national boundry which is a western invetion to destroy nations, China or Serbia.

Btw, i doubt that China has bigger support and empathy in any country in the world than it has in Serbia ;)

Chinese people do have a bigger support and empathy in people who is brave to resist the western dominance. We certainly had very high regard of Tito's Yogoslavia for its independence from USSR and USA, we continued that respect to Serbia under Milosevic and was willing to take the bombs from USA. Vucic is a welknown name among Chinese, much more welknown than most European leaders. He is among the names such as Merkel and Putin. For what? For we see that these Serbians have the balls to say "no" to the west. Djokovic certainly is not one of them. Whether Serbia can continue enjoying the favorable image and support among Chinese only depend on what kind of Serbians are going to be the majority.

Soft power vs Hard power.... on some level its all a play of words... semantics and categorical perceptive analytical overlays

Hard power is like the IT geek who has all the skills and is the alpha in terms of being able to do the work and solve the hard problems on his team, and both himself, his coworkers and managers all know it... he doesn't have to have people skills because he has the technical hard skills

Soft power is the guy that doesn't know how to turn on a computer but brings everyone coffee and bagels in the morning, invites the smart guy out to lunch to thank him for the numerous times he had helped him or saved his butt in a pinch situation etc... this guy isn't technical but he has the well rounded people skills and basically get by through skimming on the good graces of everyone else

White women look at Asian women as whores because white men tell stories of how Asian women will give them sex so easily. In Western culture, women are supposed to be virtuous. They don't give up sex so easily. Does anyone think white women and men actually care about Asian women in general? White women automatically believe their white men when they tell these stories when its wrong for men to say such things about them. Why do they believe white men so easily when they complain about sexism and misogyny in their own society. It's because white women want to believe Asian women are whores because it always comes down to competition between races especially when so many white men prefer relations with Asian women which makes white women feel less. Ever hear white women of why they think Asian women are preferred over them? It's because Asian women are subserviant. They believe in all the stereotypes that their white men say of Asian women. Is that sisterhood for you? It's disingenuous that Westerners even care because if Peng Shuai said this of a white man, they would automatically not believe her and it wouldn't even get any attention. This is just another opportunity to bash all of China not because they care so much about Chinese women.
Sadly, it is true there is this group of white worship, self-hating Asian women whores.

Djokovic us my favorite player and I am an avid tennis fan. I strongly agree with your assessment. He has not been treated kindly by Western media in the past and I feel he gets less fan fare than Federer or nadal. But they have to respect him because he is so dominant.

I don't think people here should disavow him just based on 1 statement he made. We need to follow his actions and the actions of Serbia, which has been very kind to china as a whole.

Seems justified. Better than living under the imminent threat of nazism (aka. the republican party).
Well, everyone saw that coming. Chances of further fissures in US society is increasing. And no, it is not good for anyone including China and the world.

Will Black Panthers rise from the dead? Will there be a Proud Boys vs Blank Panthers clash in the future?

Well, if you see all the past posts, seems like some of users here are itching for war or revenge.
Sure, why not.
I am not surprised many want war and revenge with Japan.
The Japanese are still unrepentant, continue to occupy Chinese islands, helping the US contain China, and meddle with Chinese affairs by helping the separtists in China Taipei.

Like I said, so what? People don't like China more when they find out their chair was made in China; why should they like China more when they find their their game is made in China? You talk about the success of Chinese games but always fail to make the connection to increasing China's PR.

I'll go one step further and point out that despite the fact that Japanese products are often viewed in China as being of high quality, Japan itself is always viewed as evil and draws revile. It is an evil country that happens to make quality goods; beat it without mercy to settle old and new debts together if it dares enter a conflict that gives China reason to do so. That's the best that "soft/flaccid/limp" power gets you without political alignment.
Playing game from China which shows Chinese culture might make people to learn more history of China and lead to better understanding. The target is younger generation. There is a saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". Example of game which hasn't released yet:

Look at the likes and dislikes.

You asked how to peacefully reunify them and I answered. How to win their hearts and minds? That comes after you take them over and prove to them that your rule is correct. Trying to win hearts and minds while being actively undermined by hostile local media is impossible.
It is not impossible. China almost did it when Ma Ying-jeou was in office.

The definition of soft power is that it's based on the theory of soft power?? LOL Nice definition

It doesn't matter how the term was made up; it's not correct. I can make up terms to and give them official meaning but it doesn't mean it makes sense. I challenge the official definition created by its founder and that he cannot possibly be correct in describing diplomacy from a position of strength as "soft." He is a man and he can be shown to be wrong by reason. Your answer does not counter my argument but simply restates the founder's flawed and illogical definition as if that by simply existing, it is assumed to be a valid and equal idea.
Here again. As long as I still prefer to use the founder's definition which already existed for decades and who is former assistant secretary of defense of US and professor from Harvard University, then we will keep have different definition of hard/soft power.

I didn't say when it will happen, but I said how it could happen and how Taiwan can be reunited peacefully. I didn't estimate anybody; if China does not achieve that power dynamic, the reunification of Taiwan may never happen.
You did underestimate, this is what you said before
Obviously by telling them we can do this the easy way or the hard way; the US is too weak and scared to fight and there will be no DDP members who survive the hard way so what's it gonna be?
Because it's an easy question with an obvious answer. People embrace the current situation over history when they conflict. Historically, Japan was horrible to the ROC, but today Japan has a common interest with the ROC to suppress China and gain independence for the ROC. It's all about political alliance. It's the same reason that China and Russia are allies despite Russia and China having had many conflicts in the past.

There is no country (that I can think of) that enjoys a positive public image in a politically antagonistic rival nation. This shows that the concept of "soft/flaccid/limp" power is useless as it all depends on hard power and political alliance.
Not really. US has negative public image in some Europe countries although they are not politically antagonistic rival nations.

Are you sure that Japan had a choice? Are you sure that US had no role in chiding Japan. Anyway, Japan is an occupied country in the literal sense. It's sovereignty is up for debate ( Pro US camp will insist Japan is sovereign. Others will disagree).

How many military bases does Japan have ? And certain Taiwan elements have long held a pro Japan view. So, the love and attention isn't unrequited. Sure, Japan doesn't want a dominating China either. As long as there is scope for pushback, it will pushback.

I remember reading about a survey done of foreign men who said American women are the easiest to have sex with. There was a morning radio show I listened to years ago where a white female personality on the show said Asian women were whores because she saw an Asian female porn actress in a porn movie. Never mind that for every one Asian porn actress out there, there are a hundred white porn actresses. And Americans think they're the most objective people in the world...
