Nah. For a conflict to happen between two parties that regularly trade with each other, Economic warfare usually precedes a hot conflict which precedes a hot war. Once the Chinese start cutting off economic trade with Taiwan, that’s when things are getting serious.

Biden’s seemingly unrelenting or unceasing attacks on China is by political design/necessity since his political standing/approval rating is pretty much in the tank. And considering that 2 of his party's core agenda (billionaire tax, paid leave) have been axed and not a part of the bill being proposed, not to mention a laughable Climate change plan his party supporters are not at all enthusiastic of Biden. In my estimation the Democratic party politicians are full of sanctimonious hypocrites that oozes what most people in the U.S. find detestable which is political weasels of which the democrats are known for. We know politicians by their very nature must able and willing to compromise on issues they find detestable but the Democratic politicians since the time of Bill Clinton has established a damaging impression that they are people with unscrupulous principles; more than happy, willing, and able to discard loyal allies of their party for a chance to acrue power, wealth, influence the very faction that they love to campaign against: The Super Wealthy. Which is why you seecountless politicians like Bill Clinton, Kerry, Hillary, Biden easily loses their hold and affections from their very own base of political support because they are seen as politicians who don't have convictions they are govern by political expediency always. And more than willing to sell their own loved ones to the highest bidder if that action will bring them the glory they seek.
And because of Biden’s continuing slide in the polls not to mention that the most important congressional election is almost near (2022) Biden and his team must or need to continue to hammer against China to divert and shift the blame of their economic woes, political situation, climate crisis, societal issues like opioid epidemic, democracy etc...to unify their increasingly divided country. The Americans need War, it is in their DNA.
I can at least respect Trump, what you see is what you get. You know who exactly who you're dealing with.
