I agree with the idea that moving type 05 this publicly means it's probably an exercise and not the real thing.

But then on the other hand, I also think moving type 05 this publicly is aimed at desensitising the world about moving around army groups. And once everyone is desensitised the real thing could be proceeded with such troop movement in broad daylight without raising suspicion.

And no one outside of China seems to have noticed or care yet currently...

Holy shit that's huge news.

Of the five non-ASEAN countries, China and Japan have ratified. Technically Australia could've done nothing and just let NZ ratify and it will pass, yet they choose to ratify which shows some sort of message.

Maybe they are hoping in the event that the USA does go into a dark winter and doesn’t make it out unscathed that at least they won’t be given the DF treatment which is assuming they are smart enough to leave the Taiwan issue alone. This is a small yet it is a sign that everyone knows that China is ready to kick the living crap out of anyone dumb enough to anger them, especially when China strength grows and the strength of the collective west fades. This shows the world that China has not lost its fangs while sleepy Joe is still trying to sleep at the conference in Glasgow
