Oh so it'll be as powerful as the LCS? Maybe the Zumwalt? Or their F16s that crash into each other?
It's supposed to be based on Japan Soryu class, a good design by most reports. Since it is able to start construction so quickly, I think it is probably just straight up the same design.
The other issue is how a company with no experience building submarines is able to stick to such an ambitious timeframe. For one, they have to replace all the Japanese weapons and other subsystems with American ones.

Good design doesn't mean good implementation or fit for doctrine. Japan built Soryu for long distance deep ocean operations. They weren't designed for use in an environment where they're being watched by hydrophones and satellite 24/7.

COP26 has been a complete mess.

Turkey refuses to turn up after UK refuse to accommodate their security detail. Xi and Putin have already given them the hard shoulder.

Most speeches were about the importance of addressing climate change, but very few actually pledged anything meaningful. India pledges to become "carbon neutral by "2070". As the people making the pledge will be long dead by then, it means nothing.

They manage to keep Biden awake long enough for him to mumble about Russia and China needing to reduce greenhouse gases. As neither were there this was a speech to the choir. No one got to ask Biden what the US, being the biggest polluter both per capita and in absolute terms was going to do as it was nap time for him again.

Despite it being a largely US affair, the whole event was overshadowed by an irate France. They brought up the submarine thing again, all the while a new fishing dispute has emerged with the UK.

To top it off Boris goes home by private jet, even though it was a UK summit and a train would have been a few hours.

Sums up how the whole climate change thing is another western charade.

Don't forget Biden's 85 car convoy in Italy before the summit. Some of these were provided by the Italian government but a good chunk of them were carried from the USA to Italy by 4 large aircraft. In addition, Biden himself used the VC-25, which is a gas-guzzling old B-747.
Then he airlifted 30 of his cars to Edinburgh airport by 3 aircraft again. The VC-25 was used again ofc too. Combined with the local escorts he used a 50+ car convoy to attend a climate meeting. Straight out of a comedy show...
