@Bob Smith Bro I counter that in most of ASEAN region we hate the West! come on bro each side has its on interest to protect, we may not like each other but at least we can lived with it. The Rise of China is the best gift Russian had received and they welcome it cause 1) they had its back covered 2) it had found a ready huge market for her product 3)it increase her political leverage against the west 4) with the US focus on China their annexation of Crimea had been legitimize cause Ukraine had been thrown out from the bus. Who in the right mind will challenge the Russian in her sphere of influence without the US.

In this geopolitical game the great stateman are playing not some amateur journalist and internet warriors. They see how the pieces been moved and the West is in a precarious position of being checkmate.

Ayrtom Lukin has been writing some eyebrow raising article vis-a-vis China which makes me believe he's one of those Russians who prefers to be allied with the West to destroy an "uppity" China ie white chauvinist solidarity.

Like most elites/managerial class all in the west still life in the early 2000s. It hasn't registered with them the world has moved on from the western hegemony. A lot of those same western educated elites/managerial class in the global south also need to keep this illusion up because their paycheck depends on it.

@FairAndUnbiased bro the Atlanticist Anthony Blinken did pen an article using a pseudo name about creating a rift between Russia and China. You know what it meant, the West is not only concern but horrify by a prospect of Russia and China alliance. The benefit of such an Understanding is obvious but if we quantify it Russia gain the most, as we had seen in Ukraine, Syria and lately Afghanistan. Her global prestige and presence had increase and the Russian notice that, with such petty issue of dislike only the west with its wokeness can come up with such stupid topic cause morally they are bereft of values and can't lecture others.

@hashtagpls bro its a given every country had its critic, what I disagree with his premise is that it work both ways, the Chinese may also have the same concern regarding the Russia action in Ukraine, what did the Russian do they sent a delegation to coordinate with the Chinese, that is what an alliance will do.

Russia will never side with the West for numerous reasons. NATO expansion toward Russian borders. Russian economy depend on China for trade, investment and finance. There are many anti-Russian Western elites that want to see Russia weak and a vassal state of the West. Russians are proud people that will never be a vassal to any country. Russia and China interests don’t clash in any area.

@MixedReality Brother Its so obvious isn't it, That is why I term it as an Understanding instead of a grand alliance, Russia is standing big in its international profile is because of China, they complement each other. Mr Lukin criticism of China doesn't factor in what the Chinese had given Russia, aside from the confidence and economic gains, they're able to plan ahead and go for the offensive. They put EU and the US on the defensive. Look at Belarus, the Syrian situation and Iran. They're able to form a bloc the SCO , a large swath of land from Siberia, SCS, the Caucasus, the Ural, the Iranian Plateau , South Asia and to Europe. And it will grow more as more nation are planning to join. And to think that the Russian will give that up....LOL , Luckily the Russian and its leadership are smart, the reason why they still uphold its Eastern Orthodox teaching and values.

And we had to admit in International affairs the Russian are expert, having endure the US and EU sanction for 10 years they know how to play the game and here the Chinese willingly let the Russian take the lead except for its core interest which is TW, Xinjiang , SCS and Tibet.
