It's the West that's afraid of Sino-Russian rapprochement. The West is displacing their feelings to the Russians going back to Tom Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon. Back then it was the Russians that were trying to push the Chinese to help sink the dollar because of all the treasuries China held. China didn't go along because the Chinese don't like instability. Do you see the West rewarding China for not going along? No, because as usual, the Chinese think they'll be humbly rewarded and recognized for it later. Relations have gone the opposite direction, the worst since the darkest days of the Cold War, so anyone holding out thinking the same way is the best way has got it wrong. Abusing China and expecting China not to fight back is what they want to see. That's the test of how they know they're the ones in power so you better believe they'll keep exercising it to know.

As usual the US is trying to get others to do their dirty work because they fear the repercussions if this was just a US operation. This way the US can preserve what relations it has with China in case their patsies lose to China doing the US's bidding. The US's tactic is centering on appealing to white supremacist Russian nationalists. Look at it this way... they could easily appeal to Russian racists if they didn't bother with Putin. It is they that won't give up their problem with Putin and the oligarchs that's holding back a US-West united front against China. It's funny because it was back in July one of those international pew polls I believe was conducted saying that the Russian people had a more positive view of China than they did for any Western country. So now all of the sudden it's the Russian government that has a problem with China when they've been going by how it's the Russian people who don't like China before this? The fact is whether it's Russia or China that falls first because of the West, each country knows they're next. China isn't preventing a US-Russian rapprochement. It's the US. That alone tells you they will work to undermine Russia no matter what. The US has a problem with how blatantly racist Russian nationalists were towards Obama. Now they're appealing to those same Russian nationalists.

Nicolas Chaillan, the Pentagon's first chief software officer who resigned in protest against the slow pace of technological transformation in the U.S. military, said the failure to respond was putting the United States at risk.

"We have no competing fighting chance against China in 15 to 20 years. Right now, it’s already a done deal; it is already over in my opinion," he told the newspaper.
Oof, that's quite the strong statement.

Interesting...
In the interview with the joint chiefs of staff general John E.Hyten a couple weeks before, he clearly stated that US army had some serious problem on updating its tech compare to other adversaries (AKA. CHINA).

In this year July, he also gave a speech at Emerging Technologies Institute rant about the same thing and particularly point out the red tapes and lazy response between different sectors are slowing down the US army form transforming.

tbh it was a no brainer that a society that hates intellectualism and calls ppl who do well in school nerds etc and functions as a racial hierarchy was always going to lose out to a Confucian society that lauds prosocial workers and students who excel.
It was a no brainer which society was going to develop 5G, quantum computing and which society was going to create a new religion in BLM and engender new businesses to shake down companies for not being woke enough.

Skynet happens in China first? /s
That article seems like its only there for the "Bad China" quota the writer will have to meet every month , the only argument is "China bad no ethic, Merica Good cuz Ethic !" while in fact we all know Americans will weaponize whatever technology the moment they discover it or made a technological break through, and then attempt to deploy it in real world scenario. Beside that false argument I don't see any example or lists regarding this matter, in which area of this AI tech is China superior ? in what aspect does it superior ?until these are answered, nobody should take the article seriously

There's a 300million a year propaganda budget to grab your share out.

There's a 300million a year propaganda budget to grab your share out.
Don’t forget that additional 1.3bn propaganda retraining budget! All that anti-China money isn’t going to earn itself you know!

As always, American elites are only looking at short term easy ‘fixes’ to paper over the growing cracks in the foundations of its power rather than taking the necessary hard work to try to address the real underlying problems.

American propaganda is failing because American hard power is failing. It’s easy to push the boat along the current and project a sense of prosperity and success when that is the reality. The west is having some success denying the blatantly obvious due to its soft power inheritance in the trust and influence its MSM has built up over decades. But even the most brainwashed of its acolytes can only suspend belief so far. Push beyond that and you risk a fundamental catastrophic collapse in trust that will take generations to repair.

China doesn’t really need to waste time playing propaganda games. If anything, the current western driven narrative that China is bad at propaganda is actually quite useful and beneficial in that it indirectly adds credibility to what China says and does. China tells the truth because it is bad at lying. That’s the kind of rep that western governments would literally kill for.
