Probably something in the line of stop encouraging taiwan separatism and there won't be any invasion in the near future, how near is up to anyone guess

I think both sides are settling down into a managed adversarial relationship. Probably best for everyone. The superpowers largely did not have directly confrontation last time around, and there is no need to do any different this time.

So apparently the US wins the gold medal for word gymnastics. Yesterday all the news were telling how Biden is sticking to Trump's tariffs and now today US companies that wanted them ended can now get exemptions all so Biden can look tough on China to the American people while US corporations can just get a pass where those tariff laws mean nothing. And they have pride thinking they're a democracy...? Look how many times they have lie to their own people to do what they say they're not doing.

What happened to "decoupling" from China which was of national security importance. Now they're calling for "recoupling?" It's the exact same thing! Like I've been saying, if China needed the US more than the US needed China, why not end all relations? If they don't need China, it should be easy to do. The fact is decoupling was just a threat hoping China will submit to concessions favorable to the US. No different from recoupling because it's the exact same things they were demanding before in order for it to happen.

But that would include lifting all sanctions on Huawei and all Chinese companies. They need to allow tsmc making chips for Huawei, and also allow Huawei 5G equipment to be installed in the US. They need to allow ASML selling the best machines to SMIC.

I think could be
* TSMC is allowed to make chips for Huawei, but only DUV, not EUV
* ASML is allowed to sell the most advanced DUV, NXT:2050i but not EUV
