The US attempt to write China out of global commercial shipbuilding by attaching fees for docking and making them extremely cost uncompetitive and making every other developed market; whom are the overwhelming majority of shipborne trade do the same.
Just like the US dollar, at end of the day which currency to use, or which shipping company can operate, and whose ships are used are decided by the world's dominant trading nation, not anyone else, and that nation is China.

I think it doesn't even matter if US goes ahead or not, the fact that they even mentioned it means it's open season for China to take control of global shipping operations and complete its monopoly on shipping.

If this move doesn't work, the US will become more deranged. I recall a proposal, probably inspired by Peter Zeihan, a few years ago about declaring an open season on Chinese merchant ships and encouraging government-funded pirates to attack them while telling the US navy & those of its allies to not respond to Chinese distress calls. The idea being that it'd be way too expensive for China to protect its merchant fleet & hunt down pirates without global ports like the US.

All that will just give China the excuse to expand her navy 2-300%.

Honestly, it took the wise philosophers of Zhihu and Bilibili for me to finally understand 日耳曼赢学. And here Sleepy offers an excellent example of that.
Actually, I've been trying to start a thread to introduce and discuss 日耳蛮学/日耳曼赢学 (German Barbarology/Winology) for quite a few days, but I was wary it might cause some hate/racist speech...
Guys, should I do it or not? Like for yes Sad for no, let me see some ratio pls.

The Nobel Prize is a joke, especially once you look at the list of awardees, which includes this guy:

Not looking to put down Sweden or Norway. They are both fun places to visit.

However, both Sweden and Norway are by all reasonable measures rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things, and so are the elites from those countries who select Nobel Prize awardees.

There's no valid reason to put them or their questionable judgement on a pedestal.

Nuff said. Imagine China created its own prize and put itself near the top. People would say its not credible.

Yet somehow we give Sweden a free pass. Their most notable contributions in recent times are Minecraft and Pewdiepie which are actually over a decade old now.

Once western hegemony falls, you will see what frauds the west is. Thats why they have no intention of letting it collapse no matter what they say.
