Thomas Friedman is also looking out for Israel’s interest. If China is defiant to the US then that also means China isn’t going to look out for Israel’s interests. That’s why all this manipulation trying to get China to do what the West wants. This way they don’t have to pay for what they want China to do in return. In a way it’s more about Israel than the US. This whole Taylor Swift thing was brought up first because of Kanye West performing in Hainan. They had to make it was because China was desperate for money from a collapsing economy that because Taylor Swift made news for making so much money for the cities she performed in, China was trying to do the same by letting Kanye perform. If that was the case, why didn’t China let Taylor Swift perform and make more money since her Asia leg of her tour was only recently? If it was a political statement on Swift’s part she would’ve performed in Taiwan. The fact is she didn’t perform in China because she most likely asked and China passed. She didn’t perform in Taiwan because she was thinking she would get closed-off from China completely if she did. Quite the opposite political statement from what they’re trying to make. And think why China let Kanye perform? The worst case scenario in the Western mind is China was telling Israel to fuck off. Of course none of this was happening. It was just Jews thinking they own China that they had the right to dictate who had access to Chinese because they didn’t complain when Kanye West performed in South Korea and Japan right before he went to China. Friedman’s column is packed with borrowing from what others have already said about China including the Taylor Swift part.

Korean American influencers harassed in South Korea after being mistaken as Chinese
Sidenote, I never got into the whole Asian American influencer thing, even as a millenial outside of one or two. But my general impression of them, speaking for influencers of the millenial generation, was that they at least put some effort into their content and at times dealt with interesting issues. From a cursory look at the Gen-Z Asian American influencers, it seems like almost all of them are just in the business of flaunting their outrageous wealth.

Spot on, He is a big supporter of G2 between China and the US right now, the reason is what you had mentioned which is to save Israel. Israel viability as a functioning and vibrant state rely on trading with Asia and her neighbor. He had foreseen the danger that Israel faces in the future as the Collective west struggle economically and he fear the economic support will wane as the cost of supporting Israel escalate to unmanageable level.

*Believes that SeeSeePee is oppressing and extorting them/"outside world is heaven compared to hellhole Chyna"
*Becomes self-loathing bobalib Hanjians, escapes overseas
*Becomes (in)famous for "exposing SeeSeePee crimes", establish selves as "credible anti-SeeSeePee dissidents"
*Amasses millions of similarly self-loathing bobaib "dissident" supporters
*Establishes "Snowflake Foundation", sets up "meme coins" as "funds to counter SeeSeePee"
*Many of their supporters pour their life savings into the "meme coins"
*Get exposed as fraudsters and scammers
*Their supporters moan and scream in despair on Twitter as their "meme coin" values sank to the bottom of the Mariana Trench

Here's the Trio of the "Snowflake Foundation" - Teacher Li, Xu and Square Face:

TL; DR of the interview between Teacher Li and Wang (another "dissident journalist") - "The "LI" meme coins have no value, I just want to extort money"

Meanwhile, normal Chinese onlooker netizens be like:
