G2 is a trap. Was a trap when Obama brought it up and it's an even bigger trap with Trump now in charge
No,not saying ever China should fall into any trap-now China is NO late Qing begging for scraps and bits of mercy from west-but this invite is a big deal even if not acted upon because it's silly and disengenuous and China can under the table give preconditions for any G2 summit-talk for talk action for action.Play the ball as it comes.China is actually an Alpha/Sigma type no need to chest beat or bluster.

True, but some sort of delaying tactic to arm up more and damage US economy further can only be positive, it's stacking the deck for a later conflict.
Trump will demand concessions for any sort of actual reconciliation; it is his classic “art of the deal” play - come up with big threats, which he then “trades” for concessions, in the end getting benefits for nothing while making the other party feel like they received value.

The best way to deal with this sort of strategy is not to play. Trade to gain an advantage, not for promises.

I don't think this is real. If it was there would have been at least some large-scale fighting which never happened, we literally see more air strikes from Israel on Syria now than Syria ever did themselves against the rebels. Assad probably had a deal with the west and gulf states which was for him to leave and for sanctions to stop and economic aid for Syria. It's pretty clear that he never intended to fight, and considering the fact he had rapprochement with Arab league literally last year, a deal with the west and gulf states seem most likely.
The document is real. it has Arabic version posted in RT Arabic but inside the information content has alot of disinformation not the topic you are referrring but i wont write bout it but to give you historic perspective back in 2014. The supreme Mufti of Russia has adding rightwing Jews in mind by annexing Israel, Syria and get closer to Mecca (soft power). this Astrakhan in north historic jews Khazaria. There other changes like MBS New Europe that made this plan no longer viable. It is this presence of Green soft power in Russia that makes thing really complicated to understand. since that is the direction Xi should not have even mentioned that book at Kazan.

The main wizard of Russia - Supreme Mufti Talgat Tadzhuddin believes that "Let Russia reach Mecca" - SHALL WE SUPPORT?

“Everything is boiling around. The Middle East, Syria, Iraq – they are next to us. It’s not far from there to Astrakhan.
On National Unity Day, after representatives of traditional religions laid flowers and congratulated Vladimir Vladimirovich, I turned to him. Vladimir Vladimirovich, maybe we should do the same with Syria and Israel as we did with Crimea? He laughed and replied: Mufti-khazrat, we will think about it. There is no need to think here, we need to take it. Let Russia be as close to Mecca.

Russian general wanted by Ukraine for chemical munitions use killed in Moscow blast

CNN — A Russian general who was wanted by Ukraine for using chemical munitions was killed by a remotely detonated bomb in Moscow on Tuesday, Russian authorities said.

Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who oversaw Russia’s nuclear, biological and chemical protection forces, was killed by an explosive device planted in an electric scooter outside an apartment building some 7 km (4 miles) southeast of the Kremlin, according to Russia’s investigative committee.

Kirillov’s assistant was also killed in the blast, the committee added, describing it as a “terrorist act.”
A criminal investigation into the deaths is underway, the committee said, adding that investigators, forensic experts and operational services are working at the scene.

“Investigative actions and operational search activities are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crime,” the committee said.

Videos posted on Russian Telegram channels showed emergency service officers walking outside a shattered entrance to a building littered with rubble, while two bodies lay in the snow.
The power of the explosive device, which was detonated remotely, amounted to some 300 grams of TNT, Russian state news agency TASS reported.

The site of the explosion has been cordoned off, according to TASS.

Kirillov’s death came a day after Ukrainian prosecutors charged the general in absentia with the use of banned chemical weapons in the war on Ukraine. According to the Security Service of Ukraine, more than 4,800 cases of Russian use of chemical munitions have been recorded on Kirillov’s orders since the beginning of the war.
Kirillov had also been

by Britain for the “abhorrent use of inhumane chemical weapons” on the battlefield in Ukraine.

In a statement announcing the sanctions in October, the UK foreign office said Kirillov was “responsible for helping deploy these barbaric weapons.” It also accused the general of being “a significant mouthpiece for Kremlin disinformation” and “spreading lies to mask Russia’s shameful and dangerous behavior.”

Till the last Ukrainian

Does anyone actually think the US will take anything China is concerned about seriously? Like I’ve been pointing out of Western weakness where they need China’s help to get others to do what the West wants. That’s why they hate China because Chinese power is not serving Western interests first and only. It’s like how they try to dictate how China can be officially a superpower… by doing what they say. Or how about how China can be innovative by being an open society. One has nothing to do with the other except it’s an avenue for the West to get what they want. What happened to Trump the mighty who can end wars before he can become President? Now he’s demanding the end of the Ukraine War from China. Well then that isn’t Trump doing it then, isn’t it?

The US is in no mood for partnering with China after its declaration of democracy vs. autocracy. Look at the criticism of Trump inviting Xi Jinping to his inauguration. So don’t be fooled into thinking they would treat China equally in a “G2”. It should be rejected if offered because it’s only about getting what they want US wants in the world.
