Land itself is not main issue. Show weakness to depraved Brahmin only invite more aggression, than if no trade at all.

The right way to deal with Indians is follow what west does, who have been succesful. Like that "Hidenburg report". Once sufficient insult and pain afflicted they be like "sar phull sappart to BRICS sarr".
There is no right way in dealing with them. The west also partially failed, as evident by how India took their praises as license to consider themselves above the law when dealing with the west.

You just have to repeatedly beat Indians over the head and then sometimes offer relief in exchange for secure gains. And I'm sure that's the whole idea of normalizing relations with India.

See, West failed when they praised. That was taken as a sign of weakness. Treat Indian social structure as wolves in a wolf pack, there will only be dominance and submission. If you are not alpha you are the prey.

Just do what the guys in the middle east do. Beat them over the head until they listen. As I repeated before, in India guards and cops usually just get sticks to whack people since they only start listening after registering physical pain.

That's why I find it laughable Indians are grouped in with east Asians. No one really groups Arabs with east Asians. And Indians seem to be more in alignment with those guys. Hell millions of Indians even have the same religion.

since independence has been granted asylum in the UK after fleeing what he says was a campaign of persecution.
In an exclusive interview, Lee Hsien Yang told the Guardian the authoritarian regime founded by his father turned on him as he endorsed the opposition following a family rift.
“Despite the very advanced economic prosperity that Singapore has, there’s a dark side to it, that the government is repressive,” he said. “What people think, that this is some kind of paradise – it isn’t.”
Under the rule of his brother, who was prime minister for 20 years until May, Lee Hsien Yang claims the authorities used what he called baseless allegations against him, his wife and his son to bring a series of legal actions. These “escalated to the point where I believe for my own personal safety I should not continue to live in Singapore”.
In a system that brooks little dissent, a ruling elite that prides itself on its reputation for probity is rarely denounced so thoroughly – especially by one of its own.

. Lee Hsien Yang said: “People need to look beyond Singapore’s bold, false assertions and see what the reality really is like.”

He added: “There is a need for the world to look more closely, to see Singapore’s role as that key facilitator for arms trades, for dirty money, for drug monies, crypto money.”

LMAO, the efforts of western interference in 李家坡 is clear as day but some Singaporeans still have this notion that Singapore's governance is better than the PRC's.

I really hope Chinese leadership are getting something good out of this. Otherwise this is caving in.

That's the problem with a lot of these decisions. You don't get to see any results until way later.

Are these concessions just for "patrolling purposes" or for drawing the new border?

My opinion is that this whole tariff then exemption was planned in advance. Recall the meetings between US-Canada-China before the tariffs dropped.

If you read the actual tariff remission notice, I think the no EV resale into US is the key point, since Canada was already hinting that it was mostly the US forcing Canada to apply the tariffs. Canada starting a trade war with China also doesn't make sense in the first place, I'm hopeful there might be BYDs in Canada in the future.

EV resale into US was not allowed to be tax free anyway under the USMCA. There are rules making sure what products can be regarded as Canadian or Mexican made. The idea of China is going to use Canada/Mexico as the backdoor was just rhetoric for imposing the tariffs.

What's the difference? If Indian troops are allowed to patrol area 1 and 2 as shown in my quoted map, that's effectively giving them that piece of land.

Looks like China backed down and basically gave away land 1 and 2. Are these concessions really necessary for India to cooperate at BRICS?
