Will that affect the joint statement from sept 10, 2020 Mr Sawhney is referring to in this tweet?
"
Coming to
clever claims, the reality is: 1. We have not gone back to May 2020 situation since only disengagement has been done. There has been no de-escalation of forces. PLA continues to occupy over 2,000 sqkm of our territory. 2. PLA's occupation of our territory is it's response to Modi gov having created new map of Ladakh showing Aksai Chin as its part. Aksai Chin was never Indian territory & China told
this when he visited Beijing on 11 August 2019. Since India did nothing on this, PLA moved it's forces to it's 1959 Claim Line in Ladakh at most places without firing a shot. It was tit for tat. 3. What
is claiming today was actually offered by China at the diplomats meeting in Beijing on 29 August. Modi gov kept it's response to China's concession given then under wraps to disclose just before Modi departure for BRICS summit. Playing games is meaningless when our forces are sitting at heights of over 15,000 feet at LAC. 4. At the 29 August meeting, China had offered two concessions: it agreed to Indian position that east Ladakh be settled before Yangte in Arunachal Pradesh. And, China proposed both sides move back two kms at Depsang & Demchok. Once this is done, both could patrol the buffer zone by informing the other side. 5. China, like Russia is keen that Modi work wholeheartedly for BRICS & SCO which will help Global South nations stabilise global geopolitics quicker. "
