Multipolarity doesn't have to be specifically anti-Western or pro-Russia to reduce Western hegemony. Just it's existence is useful to China as a counterweight to Western hegemony.
Exactly-just by existing and quite possibly thriving will alleviate their own poverty by some measureable degrees(how they do that is their own business)but it will dilute western "elite capture" and reduce their societal instability via economy and thus take away the propensity of that favourite western tool"regime change and installing a democratically elected leader"-i.e western elite capture tool.

What are people even surprised about the like of India and Brazil? They may be even more scared than the West when China grow more powerful. Joining BRICS is just harvesting some benefits from China. If they can join the West they will in the heartbeat. It's just they are incompetent.

Watch out for the Moldovan referendum where over 50% voted not to amend their constitution to support joining EU

Things have been suspiciously quiet for the past hour or so, I suspect EU is trying to steal the election
View attachment 137557

44% to 50% for the yes vote in a few hours, the fraud jokes just writes themselves.
Update: Diaspora votes which were counted last have actually tipped the balance in favour of pro-EU faction. With 98.42% processed votes, pro-EU stands at 50.08% and anti-EU at 49.92%. Diaspora has overwhelmingly voted for EU with 75.95% and right know it looks like it will decide Moldova's geopolitical future.

I knew it was too good to be true ... West has worked its magic again.

Maia Sandu has also considerably increased her lead and is currently standing at 42% which means there will be second round with results likely close as the referendum results.

They only need a simple majority in a referendum to amend the constitution? That's a terribly unstable system. It's bad enough when simple majorities are used for passing legislation but making simple majority the criteria for changing the constitution is a recipe for tyranny of the (temporary) majority.

In comparison, the process for amending the US constitution is much more difficult (and rightly so).
An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer-India especially is NO friend but a petty, jealousy driven, incompetent who bleeds every time China is mentioned positively-and that's alot-and China and Russia knows this but having india there is important just to glean potential information and to keep an on eye on them.

"MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. Former US President Donald Trump likely did not threaten Russian President Vladimir Putin with any ‘strikes against Moscow’ in their past conversation, according to Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who posted on his X social network account on Monday.

Medvedev noted that Trump is actually ‘smooth as silk’ during high-level talks.

"Trump got carried away. Did he really talk about ‘hitting fricking Moscow’? Of course not," he said. "He's generally smooth as silk in negotiations. And there’s only one answer to such words: your fricking Washington will get hit too."

"In general, our relationship with him is quite warm," Medvedev added, attaching a laughing emoji to his post on the X social network."

I think they held constitutional referendum to circumvent the qualified majority in parliament that is normally needed to amend the Constitution. The worst part is that only 33% turnout is required for referendum to be valid.

Before I welcomed such developments when I didn't really know the Indian mindset. Now I don't really have much faith these mean anything.

By overreacting to this schuffle, the Indian psyche has been exposed and we now know what they are really like on the inside.

Looks like China backed down and basically gave away land 1 and 2. Are these concessions really necessary for India to cooperate at BRICS?
