Whats the difference between FM-90 & FM-90N? Bangladesh recently signed a contract with China for the procurement of these SAM's and installation work is on progress.

Is the FM-90N the Naval variant of the land based version because I seem to remember that along with those Bangladesh also signed a contract to procure C802 SSM for its frigates and FAC's.

BTW, please post some pictures.

FM-90 is the upgraded version of FM-80, FM-90N is for navy

Well I believe that there is no way the UK could launch some kind of offensive against the US so i think its feasible to believe it would probably be the UK's home turf, so pretty much an invasion by the US and any UK attempt to stop the invasion in its tracks or whatever, or defending itself.

Well okay then. That's what I thought to, but it's never bad to be safe. In all honesty I don't really know much about the armed forces of the UK, and its defense capabilities. For example how well are vital structures protected? Do they have the capability to shoot down Stand-off cruise missiles? How capable is the sub fleet, is it enough to keep a US CBG at bay?

I seem to be asking more questions than answering..:nana:

Is this standard training in the Finnish army? :D

Well, I think this "whole line" version is less effective than the Swimmer's "Single Man" version, 'coz more people less fierce. Anyway, in case one mistake happen, the whole line of people all go to hell... :D

China's Test Pilots

So how does a PLAAF or PLANAF pilot become a test pilot? I've searched for this info online and haven't found very much. I'm assuming they would be high quality pilots with engineering backgrounds and a certain number of flying hours. That's the way they're selected in most militaries.

Anybody got any info on how China selects candidates for this and where this is done? Chengdu maybe?

Just wondering, how fast can a turboprop plane go

record holder is, if im not mistaken, tu-144, sporting engines not unlike those in tu-95. max speed achieved was little under 900 km/h. tu-95 is sometimes quoted as going over 900 kmh but that has never been proven. 800 km/h though seems like a very safe figure, attainable for a powerful turboprop plane.

Tu-144 is a jet passenger plane the same class as the Concord, which has a max speed of Mach 2+.

Tu-95 is claimed to be the fastest turboprob aircraft, but also the noisiest one
