Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is Missing

Re: Malaysia Airlines Plane is Missing

In the last few hours here in the US, most of the news services have been reporting that the two stolen passport owners were Iranian citizens, one 19 and one 29, with one or both being individuals who were seeking asylum outside Iran. Guess we'll have to see where that goes.

The search now includes 40 ships and 34 aircraft.

Malaysia Airlines said the search had expanded to the Straits of Malacca between Malaysia's western coast and Indonesia's Sumatra island. (As they continue searching the intended flight path with no results, they will expand the search).

Again, if it failed catastrophically at 35,000 ft at normal cruising speeds, the debris field would be very large, and any larger pieces of the aircraft would have sunk. Still, a lot of debris should have floated...but by nw will be spread all over creation. As large as such a field might be...it is still small compared to the expanse of the sea there. Not an easy taks to find...particularly as time goes on.

Again, my prayers are for the families and loved ones...may they find closure to this tragedy, and for the many people involved in the search. May they too be safe, and be granted success in their efforts.

Perhaps it was an oxygen deprivation in ways similar to that of Helios Airways Flight 522

With everyone losing conscious and the plane somehow flew off course for a long while before crashing. Not sure how the lose of radar contact fits into this tho.

Now they are telling us the flight had changed direction towards the straits of malacca. No wonder those bozos were searching that area, finally they are telling us whyThe whole search and investigation effort is so poorly done. Who the heck running things over there? I mean they almost as bad as the Philippines.

The competence of the co-pilot.

They are looking for clues with the flight crew now. Could be psychological or money problems like the Singapore pilot in the silk air crash over Sumatra many years ago. I know there are those here pushing for a terrorism link but that is very much down the list now

Now this is getting more and more confusing to say the least of it, it'd be until the recovery of the CVR (if ever) then we can get a clue as to what the heck really happened.

If this case ever made into the "Air Crash Investigation" documentary series a few years down the line, I'd bet it'd be easily the most watched episode of that series.

After reading the Interpol report I think we can rule out foul play at least on the part of those two individuals.
It wouldn't make much sense anyway for Iranians to hijack a Malaysia plane going to China where 95% of the passengers were either Chinese or Malaysians. The only possible terrorist angle that may sound logical would be Uigher involvement but that doesn't appear to be any evidence of that.

Either way the most important thing now is find the plane, debris or signs of wreckage. Everything else would be secondary and fuels unnecessary speculation and rumor.

To be fair, they suspected the airplane changed direction days ago and were already conducting searches on the East and West Coast of peninsular Malaysia days earlier than reported by the news media.

Yep and they were evasive and not telling us all the relevant info. All this face saving shit is actually causing them to lose more face. No wonder all the other navies searching came up with nothing. Not to mention the other debacles that happened. And that bozo conducting the press conferences. Very unprofessional

Since the identity of the 2 Iranians have just been released, China for sure is asking for a thorough background check on those 2 individuals from the Iranian government.

My take is that one those neighboring countries shot it down unintentionally hence hindering/explaining the lack of any progress. Why else can't the black box beacon be located? That'd explain the lack of distress calls.
