US will for sure 100% supply Javelins, Man pads, ATGMs galore to Taiwan.
Before or during a war? They won't supply these before the war since the RoC armed forces consider themselves a serious military (cute, I know) and serious militaries buy big ticket items like jets and warships. They're not going to spend an inordinate amount of their budget on guerilla warfare weapons like ATGMs. Furthermore, their sponsors in the US military-industrial complex want to sell the big ticket items.

During is impossible. Taiwan is an island, there's no way to supply it during PRC military operations. Any plane overflying the island or ship docking not authorized by the PLA is going to get blasted.

That’s great and all but hard-kill APS would reduce casualties and would also help the information/propaganda warfare. Also the initial PLA wave on Taiwan may not be reinforced for a while so the longer its strength lasts, the better.
Well, of course, it is good to have. But is it necessary for success? Should it be prioritize over other important stuff to spend time and money on? I doubt it.

Besides, Norinco already has hard-kill APS technology for sale in the international market. It's be a piece of cake to put them on tanks, when the Unification War is really about to happen soon.

Yea it’s kinda like body armor in the PLA that still isn’t ubiquitous : great to have, but would probably not change the outcome of a war as most casualties are not from small arms.

I feel like hard kill APS is the same: most tanks are likely going to be destroyed by planes/helicopters or other tanks. ATGM and javelins are going to be threatening for sure, but with proper UAV recons and infantry support, hopefully PLA can spot the ambushers before they can strike.

It’s still great to have though and I wish PLA can afford it…

Does the PLA even need to send tanks into cities?

Taiwan is not getting any reinforcements or supplies. Just take control of the beachheads and start flooding the island with troops. Why even bother with fighting for the cities? Just starve them out.

Elon looks at his Chinese assets and goes, "Sorry, the number you have dialed is no longer in service. Please hang up and try another number."

Elon: New phone, who dis?

Jokes aside, any satellite internet antenna will be instantly picked up by ELINT and will have a missile sent its way by the nearest aircraft on patrol.

Maybe not MBTs but certainly keep the APCs and IFVs around. It’s probably more likely enemy MBTs will be taken out by ground infantry or air support.
