Means, Sooner or Later ... I think, Man these youn uns and their abbreviations can be frustrating.

Russia spent 8 years fortifying their economy from sanctions. 8 years of work meant nothing; fortress Russia is no more.
Cutting Russia off of the SWIFT doesn't even matter that much, cause they can eventually find other ways to transact. The real sanction is when Russia's Central Bank, and also their largest, most sophisticated private banks are effectively cut off from the outside world.
New York City by itself clears $15-$16 trillion per day. JP Morgan clears around $5-$6 trillion or the entirety of US GDP every few days. Not being able to "do" business with New York is not something you can replace.

Airborne and air assault can be done in tandem with amphibious operations so as to serve as decoy, block off enemy's reinforcement and retreat.
As general rule, it should be done in close proximity to the beachhead so that the main force can link up within shortest space of time. Of course not forgetting plenty of close air support

Personally i am in favour of china dumping their usd bonds and foreign currency reserves like the russian did . Buy gold and store it physically in China.
Human had proven they can make the most illogical and senseless decisions when driven by fear and hatred. Nevermind if those actions will end up hurting themselves more.

China is holding dollars because that's how much it trades in dollars.
The first change is not to change the currency reserves but to structurally promote Yuan for trade in order to reduce dollar for trade.
First step is to increase reforms, increase reforms for transparency of Yuan (+ digital Yuan) and then heavily promote it for trading

In fact, the technological sanctions of war are equal to zero when China cannot manufacture and what the West can manufacture is not exported to China at all.
China is working hard to develop more products that are monopolized by the West and while Trump or the "Trump" may win the election in 2024. It is difficult to predict what will happen if the power of sanctions continues to be reduced. In particular, the West wants to spread manufacturing to Southeast Asia, but upstream and downstream still have to pass through China.
I have little hope for a peaceful solution.
China cannot allow another Hong Kong, spending huge resources, but allowing Western ideological infiltration and spying to flood it. It also needs to build military bases here as an outpost in China's core GDP area and support SSBN entering the Pacific Ocean. This requires voluntary surrender and a complete change of government and military.
Economic sanctions are not necessarily the severest, because Wall Street always wants to make money.
