That happening isn't a 100% given though.

(Not to mention there are US businesses still doing business in Russia right now)
If war breaks out in Taiwan and you believe the U.S. military will not intervene, I can call you an optimist, but if you don't think US will also impose tougher economic sanctions on China than it did on Russia, I really don't know whether to tell you to wake up or let you sleep on.

Lol what?

There is a very real chance the US will not intervene (not done in it Ukraine btw).

As for doing even tougher economic sanctions on China? A possibility YES, 100% to happen? NO lol.

Also doing such sanctions would also immensely hurt US itself (much more than what is happening now with Russia), the inflation we're seeing right now would basically be a complete joke in comparison.

Can PLA cyber troopers send fake messages/images/videos in huge amount to jam the bandwidth of the satellite linked internet? Tens or hundreds of millions images and videos send automatically by PLA bots, is that possible?

I was thinking about that as well in the previous post, is it possible to just DDOS the satellite directly or hack it instead?

Edit: Also vice versa for the satellite dish.

Hit satellite dishes not generators and definitely not people... those dishes still need to be in the open to have a good connection.
Obviously, you live in an area where residents rarely install satellite dishes.

Damn, does all type of satellite dish works for Starlink? How much percentage of household in Taiwan uses satellite internet? Also can the electronics in satellite dishes be fried with enough power? Thanks you for your insight, I learned a bit about GPS and satellites from you.

The point is not whether all the antennas are Starlink, this photo tells you 1, where the satellite dish is actually installed 2, how do you distinguish each kind of satellite dish? There are not many starlink users in Taiwan yet, but with the price of starlink terminals, I think Taiwan can purchase a batch as backup soon.

Maybe they could tell by whether the satellite dish is operating on the same band frequency as Starlink and is sending network packets, and under a scenario where electricity is shutdown, it narrows down which satellite dish is actively sending out packets. Also sharing the article here about Starlink getting jammed

What's interesting to note is this
SpaceX has supplied Starlink terminals to Ukrainian users and deliberately adjusted the Starlink’s modem to use less power and thus enable usage from a car’s cigarette lighter and to enable vehicle-based roaming.
So for those adjusted variants, they would be able to power it using their car and be portable as well.

I'll have to agree, that hunting these satellite dish would be a difficult task and a waste of time and resources. So other solutions should be explored, like DDOS-ing the satellite, frying the satellite dishes' electronics, hacking either the two, or developing killer satellite and directed energy anti-satellite weapons. But Its likely when the operation gets carried out in the near future, some users in Taiwan would have access to the Internet via Starlink, and guaranteed the government and military will have access.

I do think its still beneficial to cut those undersea cables to prevent internet access for most of the users in Taiwan, to slow the flow of information coming out of them, and for freezing the Taiwan stock exchange and moving transactions albeit its kind of irrelevant to the operation. Maybe there would be some utility in jamming certain periods of time during the operation, for operation security and slowing information leak, but now any talks about Taiwan scenario should include that they cannot ensure total information blackout.
