Pretty much it except the Chinese army did not ambush the Indians, it was the other way around.
For years India tried to flex its weak, uncoordinated muscles and tried to stir up nationalism thus encourging US to give support against China, hence they started the border skirmish. It's fake news propaganda media claiming victories, banning Chinese enterprises... Result India got itself into the economic quamire and a bloodly nose it soon wants to forget.

I have to give credit to @twineedle here. If the Indian soldiers fought as hard as he is on the keyboard, perhaps they may have stood a chance against the PLA at Galwan. Indians do indeed produce formidable keyboard warriors rofl.

They fight pretty hard on the negotiations tables. The disengagement talks routinely go into 16-17 hours.

PLA need to outsource these talks to indians.

China captured territory India previously controlled?
Yes, the pp14. How many times do I need to tell you? Early May to finally at the clash your side basically controlled it, building camp, building footbridge to cross the river, and even brazen enough to bring a tractor to help the build up. After the clash, indians cowardly block itself with a wall on your own side of the river. So please, don't equate this to the 'withdrawal' the chinese made in the finger area, a voluntary move that resulted in a buffer zone that's more beneficial to china as you agreed with how indians are more often to cross the contested LAC, to action done by us in the galwan clash that is actually successful to prevent the unprovoked intrusion by your side.

All the satellite photos that I used come from the same source that you have oftentimes posted, so you can't deny it. Here's the satellite photo dated 22 May, weeks before the clash showing how you have started to intrude and crossing the river with the footbridge, and set up the camp on that place.

Here are the satellite photos AFTER the galwan clash (15 June). You can see the aforementioned wall from the retreating indian, how the bridge is now gone, and the fortification from the chinese side AFTER retaking the area.

And here is the video showing the tractor coming from the indian side showing the intention to cross the river and intrude, the close-up picture of indians with their footbridge that is also captured in the 22 May satellite photo, and the proof of you have managed to built and establish control of the area with the aforementioned camps, before finally getting kicked out. Bonus clip at around 0:57 is also showing how the PLA has marked the area with 中国 on the wall, which disprove your baseless claim about the usage of the outdated 1959 line, thus enforcing my argument that the indians know wholly their intention is to intrude, instead of your constant lie about how indians is just 'patrolling to pp14'.
Seethe and cope harder, now I'm just waiting for your reply admitting your mistake and stop spamming this thread with your gish gallop, right? ;)
