Yeah, Indian media and western media is a load of crap as always. Wake me up when they actually head to New Delhi and actually protest/riot and end up infecting people in large multi-million numbers and end up spreading it to there buddy nations, causing yet another shutdown again which well, screws the India economy yet again which ultimately proves that western democracies ultimately fail when it has the British/American touch. Then I might start caring and believing that there is any truth in journalism I guess.

From what i read, the plan to strike including labors and farmer organisations all over India, excluding the bjp party. And those totals to about 250millions, whether or not all shows up demonstrating, matching to delhi is yet to see. They are already marching to delhi and the police as always repressive towards them. They even created a makeshift jail from a stadium to detain the labors and farmers.

But, have you all notice? Lately there's not much Indian trolls around? Kinda more peaceful.

I notice there are a lot of Sikhs in this protest. Are they disproportionally represented in this and is there a reason for it?

I'm not a fan of china poking india on this issue, it goes against PRC policy on interference in internal affairs of other countries. Drama teacher trudeau just got a bad reaction from indian media, and now western social justice warriors might want to pile on as well.

A statement of support for the Modi government doesn't cost china anything right now, and also gives a good signal to india that a thaw is entirely possible with china. Or it can always subject itself to endless criticism and influence from the west.

China hasn't been poking India on this internal issue. Someone asked whether farmers are protesting and I replied and added a comment about how India has been experiencing pretty unprecedented social unrest levels. Okay it's had some rough times in the past as well but none of this can be considered China poking India. I am not China and I don't represent China, ditto this forum.

Nah this situation is mainly due to the India government and only them, no influence from China at all. This is all on modi

Hell there is some sectarian tension between Sikhs and Hindus. I don't know, India is one huge pile of mess

Why don't Australia sell Australian wine to these Indian farmers?
