Is there any surprise? They can have 100 talks and nothing will be agreed. The fact of the matter is India wants to play land-grab on China and got checked. Whereas China does not want an armed conflict with India, but at the same time wants to defend its territories. So now both sides wanna play a game of chicken. Who wants to fold first? Or who wants to shoot first?

Everyone's down with the 055 idea it seems, it reminds me of that period immediately after J-20 first flew.
Perhaps this should be on the Indian Military News Thread.

Its off-topic. But I can't resist to comment on this "Project-18". India better talk about finishing its Visakhapatnam-class destroyers first. Its been 7 years since INS Visakpatnam was laid down. It took them 13 years to build the 3 Kolkata-class before this. And both of these classes of vessels couldn't be compared to the Type 052D destroyers. Where in 6 years, 12 have already been commissioned.

India has a formidable 3rd-rate navy. Good for intimidating small maritime powers in South Asia, SEA, and the Middle East. But it cannot be compared to the navies of China, Japan, or South Korea. Unlike the army and air force, navy always needs a strong economy. And thanks to the great Indian economy going down the drain with Modi in charge, India's navy dreams are looking more and more distant.

I agree with you 100 percent. India always have beautifully presented future projects that never go pass their PowerPoint presentation... Or by the time it appears, it was utterly obsolete.... Looked at their so call indigenous MBT, the LCA and their aircraft carriers. Even their so call super duper civilians projects like their HST are flops at best. Wonder when will the Indian finally came to their mind to take things one at a time, be very good at current technology before moving forward, instead of dreaming for the sky but was forever one mile too low.

China will want to take back southern Tibet, dawang after Taiwan unification issue solved. It will be more than ladakh issue. Once China put primary focus on India, things will get interesting

Frankly until China confirms directly... anything the Indian side, especially the Indian media, says is basically BS... I mean we have already seen too much of what qualifies as ‘reporting’ in the Indian media...
Even with that, if you watch the video, you will see the reporter didn't answer the question clearly from anchor, if India would withdraw mutually too.
