The 43 "Casualties" number is sourced to ANI - which is a very shoddy propaganda mouthpiece of Indian Government. At least CGTN, Xinhua and the likes of China knows how to toe party lines and have no qualms about embracing its "State Owned" credentials. ANI is pretty lacking in dishing out lies. There is much more to learn for ANI from the press establishments of the West which manages to do journalistic biasness/propaganda with much grace.

Changing the Wikipedia entry for ANI would be a good start.

Well, well, well...
The report of "43 casualties " attributed to ANI now doesn't surprise anyone does it? Clearly, India doesn't know how to engage in Information Warfare. It's own media houses doesn't seem to agree with or follow ANI. I think India should fund ANI much better than any other military department because of how awful its media management is.

Take notes from China too. At least the Chinese "State owned media" remains Silent. That's a very good tactic. Not agreeing/disagreeing helps spread confusion and muddies the water. Israelis know how to do that. Pretty good at it.

The sad thing is like in the past (Pak India 2019 air skirmish), Western media is not showing India any love. Not even Fox News! Now that's embarrassing for the blossoming US-India relationships ain't it?

If Indian casualties rise to 40, Chinese casualties will suddenly become 85.

It's very unfortunate that lives were lost, whether they are Indian or Chinese. We will have to wait until more information come out to understand what exactly has happened. What's comforting, if there is any positive out there at all, is that the preliminary official statements from both sides seem to indicate neither side wants to escalate this militarily. The statements are more political and sticking to their respective positions, without making military threats. I take this as positive.

Let's refrain from extreme nationalistic rhetoric and taunting. It's just not helpful. It's not in India's or China's interest if a military conflict breaks out.

What does Russia have to say between these border clashes? I know Russia is invested in both China and India, with India being far more historically and lately with China and Iran lately. I'm sure they are going to be a mediating factor. Pakistani, Nepalese, Bhutanese and Bangladeshi netizens are making fun of India with hardly any Chinese online are goading the Indians. This is fun and all but I think the Indians will perceive this as having the short end of the stick and will want to go to war.

Nothing I bet. Russia needs both China and India for economic reasons ... not to mention Russia sells bunch of weaponry to India.

I am 100% sure Indians started this whole mess with US instructions.

China needs more peace time for development. India has nothing to lose right now.
