JF-17 serial 13-144 and J10A

Just a maybe stupid question, but I read somewhere that even if this exercise was cheered as a great success - and even if I would love to see more images - the PLAAF contingent was reportedly only ONE J-10A and ONE J-7G !???:(

Can anyone confirm - or better deny - that ?

Regarding the numbers yes too few and certainly more would be better but I guess this is more of a pilot training and keeping exchanges going sort of thing not a full scale exercise plus it's the first time J10A has been deployed aboard to a foreign country and first time Pakistan actually seen J10A inside Pakistan they can get to know the ground handing of the aircraft and ground support etc plenty to learn from a new aircraft

It's great to see Pakistan and China put together the best Chinese made aircraft J10A and JF-17 and what this really means it lays the ground work for further co-operation and more excercises in the future between the airforces next time JF-17 Block II and J10B on a larger scale would be the iceing on cake!

If it was only one of each type, my guess is that this was a testing and foundation laying exercise more than a DACT one.

From the description of the exercise, it sounds like one designed to test and promote the joint war fighting capabilities of the PLAAF and PAF.

A critical component of that would be communications and networking. No doubt a great deal of behind the scenes work would have been happening to make it possible for Chinese and Pakistani fighters and ground control to effectively communicate, and hopefully also datalink with each other. This exercise could be the final validation test to see how well frontline PLAAF assets could operate within Pakistani battle networks and communication grids.

It would be a major blunder and embarrassment if the PLAAF sent in a regiment sized fighter contingent for joint exercises only to find out Chinese and Pakistani fighters and ground controllers can't effectively communicate.

And probably the biggest customer just like they did with K-8 and would be a great combination

Egypt Air Force needs range and endurance that's why Block II would be a great addition to them

But like most deals they are dictated by politics and not so much requirment for sure Egypt can send a huge JF-17 order upwards of 3 squadrons get the full transfer and training from PAF would be good to see that

Let's wait what orders comes from Block II it will fit many worlds air forces I am sure they will secure exports of this model no question i mean block I was really base line model it got people interested everyone has visited PAC and been impressed and know of the thunder next time we bag the deals

NICE.

IMHO, JF-17 is a very good looking plane, just kind of small.
