Could this be the first JF-17 Blk II? Courtesy of Windjammer @ PDF.

First JF-17 BlkII.jpg

EDIT: Well, I tried to get confirmation if this is Blk II, but failed. So could be that this is not Blk II. There is still an outside chance that it might be, since one can see 13-149 in the back-ground. It depends upon whether or not this aircraft is factory-fresh.

EDIT2: Probably upgraded blk I (with retrofitted IFR).

I see a hint of differential elevator trim in this climbing turn. That explains great roll performance that one sees during airshows.

With wheels down during a climbing turn, one can see that the jet has adequate power from its RD-93. Moreover, there is no sign of smoke from the engine.

A nice clean and capable fighter. That is our JF-17 / FC-1...

Actually I don't think so ... IMO it's simply the testbed for the IFR-probe numbered 09-109.

JF-17 has been pitted against the Flanker in the previous excercises so it's likely they will again although I am waiting for photos

This just reminds me how large a aircraft the Flanker is lead aircraft is 101
