So what if that metamaterials ramp up you spotted was actually for J-35 production?
i'm sure part of it is. I found out they just identified a 3rd production base. I'm not sure what the non-aerospace demand is for meta material, because doing 10 to 20x increase in production over 5 to 7 years is pretty insane.

looking at how easy US can send their comando inside pak soil to take out binladen ,
Pretty sure that was Pakistan itself getting tired of having him around.
how much effective us intelligence help ukraine himmars , drone attack russian target deep inside rusland/black sea fleet , oil facility
By that logic it's not safe for US to send F-35 to NATO either, given how much more porous NATO defenses have been in the other direction.
...etc, and how easy israel assassin high ranking iran/hamas V.I.P
So the interesting thing is that it was years ago they did anything inside Iran to Iranians, and those were nuclear scientists. You'd think that with the ongoing porcupine concept based on missiles, missile defense and drone construction, it would be in Israel's extreme interest to get even 1 or 2 rocket, drone or electronics scientist. Or key workers in those industries.

The truth is that we have no particular desire to see Iran nuclearised, and at the same time, it seems that the security of important Vips that matter to us is untouchable, which a J-35 maintenence staff would be. In any case, Iran's porcupine strategy needs to be further expanded first, probably at the very least they must get the J-10C to learn how to operate modern planes with CEC.
i seriously double the "safe" word
It's not taking risks larger than US did by sending F-35 to select countries.

I'm surprised people feel so quick about selling J-35 at all. The air force should require most of them, and also from all indications, it's going to be a very powerful platform that will change the dynamics of whoever acquires it.

Pakistan and Russia sure, maybe. They are technologically safe countries and need them. And Iran, if/when Iran has completed more modernizations to support it.

But making available to any country something that is essentially a F-22 with F-35 avionics or a J-20 with worse airframe but equal stealth/avionics is to me jumping the gun. Even if they pay huge sums for it.

Not only is it a problem if they're used irresponsibly. But if say Saudi gets it, or even country like Egypt, wouldn't it be possible for US to pay billions and eventually someone somewhere would let them take a close look at it, exposing key tech which is supposed to help the PLAAF keep the edge in the sky.

This isn't some old 4.5th gen, it's something that has a toss up chance of being more advanced than anything in the enemy's kit. You don't let this kind of stuff go to any country.
I think a simple way to handle this is to build monkey models. Think the T-72M, a downgraded model designed for export. I'd imagine if China is selling 5th gens to countries like SA or Egypt, the avionics can be easily downgraded. Or just remove certain functions like the F-15SA.

Wow!! What a beauty! Very smooth and barely any panel lines - still hard to tell if it has a gun or not because of that! Chinese manufacturing really has come a long way.

You can see the 2 holes on the head rest behind the pilot is missing the sensors for HMD. Obviously tells us this is a prototype and probably missing more features compared to the final version. This makes me more confident the final one will definitely have EODAS.
