I'm surprised people feel so quick about selling J-35 at all. The air force should require most of them, and also from all indications, it's going to be a very powerful platform that will change the dynamics of whoever acquires it.

Pakistan and Russia sure, maybe. They are technologically safe countries and need them. And Iran, if/when Iran has completed more modernizations to support it.

But making available to any country something that is essentially a F-22 with F-35 avionics or a J-20 with worse airframe but equal stealth/avionics is to me jumping the gun. Even if they pay huge sums for it.

Not only is it a problem if they're used irresponsibly. But if say Saudi gets it, or even country like Egypt, wouldn't it be possible for US to pay billions and eventually someone somewhere would let them take a close look at it, exposing key tech which is supposed to help the PLAAF keep the edge in the sky.

This isn't some old 4.5th gen, it's something that has a toss up chance of being more advanced than anything in the enemy's kit. You don't let this kind of stuff go to any country.

It would make sense to have a dedicated airframe for testing these subsystems prior to final integration. Nonetheless, all of this hinges (pun unintended) on the assumption that the hinge-type horizontal stabilizers are indeed a design progression rather than a testing point.
It's a lot for just a try It means very different flight laws, that's a lot of testing.

FC-31 project has always had export in mind though. Aside from dedicated export models that would reduce the risk of technology leak it may also be a reflection of 6th gen project going well.

Are there any renders out there showing the size difference between the J-35 and other planes, something like that BigBun render of the JL-10 vs the J-15 on a carrier?

The support structure is 3D printed, not the skin.
Additive manufacturing is the biggest reason we have seen this level of precision.

General Electrics now started to use this process in High thrust engine components manufacturing to achieve next level precision and efficiency.

as i said before, China implementing 3D laser tech , Ai and high level automation in all top manufacturing sectors.

looking at how easy US can send their comando inside pak soil to take out binladen , how much effective us intelligence help ukraine himmars , drone attack russian target deep inside rusland/black sea fleet , oil facility ...etc, and how easy israel assassin high ranking iran/hamas V.I.P

i seriously double the "safe" word
