Flap don't look cropped/indented for the tails like on f-22 ad f-35c
Anyone knows what engines it is using?
According to a part of a paper someone publicized last year the crop in the flap is very small and quite possibly not visible with this resolutionFlap don't look cropped/indented for the tails like on f-22 ad f-35c
Now THIS sort of thing is what makes this forum worthwhile! One question though, as a naval fighter should it not have a built in ladder so mobile ladders don't have to be moved around on deck? Or is this just for the prototype/pre-production models?
I believe it does have such a ladder (our first pictures of the J-XY, taken from the left, shows 2 hexagons beneath the cockpit similar to the F35’s panel for ladder, and this new pic shows no such hexes from the right) I guess using an external ladder is easier to get in and out of, so as this is only testing they opted to do that. Now THIS sort of thing is what makes this forum worthwhile! That's the WS-19 picture right? Can we say J-35 is using it? Or it might be a WS-13 with serrated nozzles?
Are you saying this J-XY already have WS-19 engine????

To be fair, it's the other way around: JSF was specified to carry 2 2000 lb-class weapons. No, the weapons of the F-35 are deeper, a design advantage that is aided by the fact that it is single-engined (and thus the bays can go deeper around the engine "tunnel"). The F-35 can carry a 2000-lb Mk. 84 in each of its bays, something that I doubt the J-XY would be capable of doing.
