raytheon and thales AESA antenna uses vivaldi slotted linear approach to design the antenna, for max. T/R efficiency and compactness, anyone who check raytheon AESA notice row of intruded antenna.
with the exception of pict. no.2,no 1 and no.3 use different approach.
But the biggest surprise,is that NRIET still using older GaAs T/R MMIC, when far better GaN based T/R MMIC already in production.
according to the russian, there are currently two firm in china engaging in R and D of airborne AESA.likely it was built by different firm.

Well , GaN has higher power density then GaAs , but is also less reliable and much more expensive . Despite popular opinion , T/R in AESA radars have size limit based on the frequency of generated EM wave . Also , installations on aircraft could provide only so much power for the radar . Therefore , on aircraft like J-10B or J-16 it may not be cost effective to use GaN instead of GaAs . As for J-20 , I#m certain by the time it gets in full operational stage new radar for it would be available .

at 1760 t/r module, which is higher T/R density than Ceasar AESA,which carry 1500 T/R module for range 400~390km (10 m).
back in 2009, Chinese official media, provide the list of aircrafts going to participate in 2009 parade, claim that J-11 radar has max. detection range of 450km.same as APY-1 radar!
which is no doubt he is pointing at AESA type radar, all 3 radar likely built before 2009,likely as some sort prototype.

The AESA shown for the J-16 indeed has a search range of 450 kilometers for a 1 m^2 target. The J-11B and J-15 have the same radar as the J-16, apparently.
