I think currently the plane can only hold two of these modified PL-12s in each bay, but comparing it with pictures of F-22 with a full bay of three hard points vs one or two, I think J-20 can also fit three hard points internally to make six missiles overall.

The current situation may reflect missile tech limitations or this missile being a stop gap. looking at the bay with only two hard points, it appears to be very roomy almost like they aren't even trying to squeeze and make use of the space.

I don't think they'll be stacking missiles, even if it is quite deep. The depth may be to accommodate A2G weapons or larger diameter A2A weapons. Stacking missiles is much too risky.

How do you mean?

I don't think there is all that much space, if there was enough clearance to squeeze in another missile, I'm sure they would have done so.

I think the length would be as much of an issue as the width, if they cannot offset one missile so the fins don't overlap, they would need additional width to fit all the missiles in side by side.

Pardon, I might have mixed up looking at a zoomed up image already out there that I knew was manipulated. I'll try to find the image to be sure.

Which doesn't really make sense in the context of J-20 bashers since DSI inlets only work at sub Mach-2 speeds, remember?

Firstly, DSI doesn't have a magic limit at Mach 2, despite what some might have claimed. Secondly, bashers claimed J-20 as an interceptor and simultaneously claimed the aircraft cannot reach Mach 2. Why would you even use their ridiculous claim as part of your argument?

I already made it clear that I was coming from the j-20 basher's standpoint and the purpose of my example was to point out the ridiculousness and contradictions in their argument. Read my post carefully.

IMHO... Why can't 2 more fixed missile rails (unlike the side weapon bays moveable rails) be mounted on the middle of the internal opening doors. With the deep internal bays, divided into 2 dividers; one missile rail could be mounted in the middle part of the door; when closed it might fit in between the 2 missiles' middle. With this configuration, 3 missiles in one compartment, with two compartments make 6 missiles.

Just my insightful thoughts, not sure if it increases radar detection more with this missile rails on the inter part of the doors.

The weapons bay shows it's able to accomodate 6 MRAAM. I have a F-22 model at home and it looks almost identical at the weapons' bay. Of course I'd welcome bashers to say the J-20 COPIED the F-22 or stole it and made a knock-off version.
