yup! it's all about reprioritizing. J-15 project was definitely more urgent than J-10B by far. Simply put you can't have a carrier w/o birds .. ok well technically you could but I don't think PLAN wants to go down the path of HTMS Chakri Naruebet .... but the PLAAF has been flying the Alpha just fine for years. Waiting for the Bravo is really not that big of a deal despite vast improvements over the current model. Let's not forget there are a couple of other lil birdies called the J-20 and J-31 that has been stealing the spotlight here and there as well for the air force.
For the Navy it was J-15 or bust! They HAD to get it done period!

where is the ifr at compared to the A and earlier versions of the B? I assume it's the reftracble type since PLAAF doesn't have boom type tanker or did they eliminate ifr altogether?

Been waiting for this day for so long! Feels like I grew up with this bird. Got more emotionally attached to this one than J-20/J-31/J-15/J-16. I mean wow, 5 years later! Before the previous fighters, J-10B was the showcase of China's highest tech. For me, this plane is like a part of my childhood/early adulthood, even in 20 years I will still like this plane! Kind of like how you grew up liking a car, your heart will always skip a beat when you see one in real life or in a magazine and how your goal in life (one of them at least) is to own one even if it went out of fashion/style years/decades ago. I am so happy! So so happy! The J-10B is my CD/MiniDisc, while newer China watchers might be more attached to the J-20/J-15 (the Mp3/iPhone) etc.
