This again shows the maturity of the new engine. If they want to fly it on a single engined plane then it is mature. Now it is about how it acts or reacts in a operational plane. This also shows too me that the Pakistani Fc20 will not go for Russian engine. That was probably the reason behind the delay. We will see first squadron being transferred to Pakistan between april 2013-july 2013. First squadron would be end of 2013. I expect between now and december more weapon load testing. Reliable? Just contacts. Nothing written but let us see how it evolves.

I am really annoyed why the induction of JF17-2 is done so slow. There is something we definitely do not know. I heard it is financially related to this corrupt Pakistani government but still...

You mean that GPS or Mobile attached to the canopy? To be honest, I was hoping some new HMS/HMD...

J-10A Lot 04 08

Who, how, where and why did the person take the photo?

Why did the pilot set his cell phone there?

Well it seems that the WS-10s have seen a lot of time and money spent on it. The engine will take time to come online, but then again, its worth the wait. A WS-10 powered J-10B, is a phenomenal achievement for China, it would also be the first modern combat aircraft China will have with everything, 100% Chinese in it. That is in itself, an astonishing and worthy of praise, achievement.

I am still a believer that the J-10B ought form the backbone of PLAAF, where the fighter represents true Gen-4++ capability. The J-10B would be more than a match for the Eurofighter, Rafale, Gripen, Fighting-Falcon or Strike-Eagle. J-10Bs would see more capabilities added to it, as the fighter-jet enters service. AESA, DSI, IRST, IFR, and WS-10 capability are just the beginning for the J-10B.

Pakistan Air Force will certainly benefit from procuring the J-10Bs. It would enhance Pakistan Air Force's capabilities in ways not possible before. This aircraft, along with JF-17 Thunders, would form the nucleus of Pakistan Air Force's fighter-jet fleet. And we in Pakistan anxiously await news on the development of the WS-13 engines as well. Since it is claimed that the WS-13 would have a greater thrust-to-weight ratio than the current RD-93.
