Just last week or so the pro-Iran militias were openly discussing of creating a 12000 men strong militia in Jordan. The king has now given them an alibi to do so.

I believe China is able to bring the cost down to less than $7000 but not Iran. Still, $50k for a 1400km range cruise missile is very cheap.
It's 500k RMB, so 62k$, which seems reasonable for both parties to achieve if China - Iran coordination is good

The word being chanted here, labbaik = I am here, ready to... [you can guess what]
This is in occupied Palestine.

The biggest loser in this, in addition to Israel ( + US at lesser degree) is Jordan.

They don't help Gaza but they are the first to defend Jordan (+ lesser degree the Gulf Countries). Jordanian people are not stupid and can see that something fishy is going on
2.3 million Palestinians live in Jordan whose total population is 11 million. Jordan's half-breed B̶r̶i̶t̶i̶s̶h̶ royal family doesn't appear to see the catastrophe that could arise in it's own turf.

185 drones+110 bm+36 cm=331 projectiles
Only 7 bm hit Israel which is roughly 2% of all the projectiles launched.

So it is 98% to be precise.

But this whole ordeal cost Israel more than $1Billion while Iran expended $20 million or so ( the drones costing $20.000 and the missiles $100.000 each). That is a cost ratio of 50!

Israel is very capable to stop such an attack, but wil it be able to stop subsequent waves that the Iranians are able to pull off?

Wondering what if Iran launched the 2nd wave?

Despite assistance from the US, UK, France, Jordan, and several weeks of preparation, the initial wave of Iran's attack caused chaos in Israel/US & EU.

Israel/US may try to present Iran's attack as a failure.

Good. Let them. Give Israel an off-ramp. Iran sent the message it wanted and struck the relevant air force base (4+ times).

The response though did cross a psychosocial threshold, weakening Israeli deterrence and normalizing potential future Iranian responses should the Israelis strike their assets in Syria or Iraq.

That was exactly the goal. Iran also successfully struck the Israeli air force base from which their strike on the Iranian consulate was launched - a strategic target for Israel. Everything else, paralyzing the entire settler entity after making them live in fear for many days, was a bonus and arguably a distraction.

Makes you wonder if Iran had excellent intel on Israel's Anti air capabilities, If it weren't for Netanyahu's ego this was the perfect response to save face while both parties avoiding war

Warning time by launching UAVs = 6-8 hours

Warning time by launching MRBMs = 7-10 minutes

It's clear Iran took measures to deliver a carefully calibrated response designed to restore deterrence without forcing Israel into war.

This attack was not meant to cause mass death an destruction so Iran did not use it's top of the line weapons systems. This attack was a warning that Iran will attack israeli territory directly and next time it might be more severe, fatal and deadly. The paradigm has shifted. The barrier of the fear of attacking Israeli territory directly by a nation has been broken.

One way to achieve that goal is to launch hundred of shitty over best date old MRBMs easy to be intercepted and mix in a dozen of the good stuff with modern penetration aid for their intended target. This may explain why most of the missiles that got through landed on that one airfield
