Does Jordan even operate any air defence systems on their own?
Nothing that could easily down a cruise missile, Shilkas, Vulcans, Gepards and Hawks
This region has seen bloodshed since antiquity, even without the existence of Israel, Iran and Saudi Arabia is happy to paint the sands red with their proxy wars. One should be glad that the existence of nukes have prevented the same from happening between major powers around the globe.
That's why I don't call these countries the global South, but the international community
Which region hasn't had wars since antiquity? West Asia was relatively peaceful after the Ottomans and the Persians made peace in 1639 until the first world war brought the British and French to the region
No one is going to do anything except empty talk. America can pretty much do whatever it wants. Who’s going to sanction Israel..ahem I mean America.

The geopolitical benefit is that Israel is an anchor of US power in the region, in addition to a highly capable partner for gathering intelligence on Mideast affairs. It also splits Iranian attention between multiple fronts.
The simple fact of the situation is that none of the countries that oppose Israel to the point of being willing to take real action over it have the capacity to inflict meaningful economic costs on the US. It doesn't matter how many people they have if they don't make anything the US uses. China is the only country with the capability and political independence to seriously punish the US economically, but it would suffer badly itself if it did this, and regardless they don't really care about this conflict beyond how it might affect the energy market.
Geopolitical benefit is that Israel is used as an outpost to disrupt and harass their adversaries. US (if you can call them that) diplomats know their hegemony over the region is slipping away. What you're seeing are acts of desperation. Their current economic situation compounds the problem.
So, if this moment is the last time you can take on your adversary, where there will not be another opportunity to do so for many decades (or even centuries) to come, then you would go for it. Full ahead and damn the torpedoes.
True but there are consequences. Given how America have been throwing economic sanctions around like candy during Halloween, the end result would be no different if the World had sanctioned America.
Americans and Europeans in the last two years have tried very hard to corner Russia as the aggressor and demonize China as a bad actor. What had happened in Gaza Strip has completely destroyed any moral high ground of the Western powers with their double standards.
No matter what others say, from My POV, Europeans and Americans have paid lip service to the ethnic cleansing in Gaza Strip. So all of them should stop preaching the world about how unjust war Russians are waging in Ukraine because what Israel is doing is far worse in term of human suffering.
We are looking at thousands of civilians deaths and almost total destruction of civilian infrastructure just for initial few weeks of Israeli bombing and ground invasion. If nothing is changed for a few more weeks, we are looking at human catastrophe in huge scale. Without clean water, food, medicine or electricity, Palestinians either dead at hunger or diseases or forced to flee to Egypt. Either ways, this is ethnic cleansing.
I just hope that many pro-West people stop preaching they are the good guys and Russians are the bad guys. No one is buying this crap anymore.

White supremacists simply don't care what other people feel or think.
They proudly armed Ukraine to weaken their enemy Russia, armed Israel to weaken Iran and the entire Middle East and armed Taiwan to weaken China in the future. If they achieved this, they were successful and will only be proud of it.
They never cared if they were going to kill millions of innocent people with this. They have already killed millions of indigenous people in America, millions of people in India, millions of Africans, millions of Chinese. They find this a sign of their indisputable strength and are proud of it, as those preferred by God with a mandate from heaven to do whatever they want.
Who really cares if they kill a few more Palestinians if it shows that they are superior and still in command and no one is doing anything to stop them?
Arabs are major savers of dollars. After this massacre against their Palestinian brothers they will continue to buy a lot of dollars and without any competition, simply because there will be no alternative to the dollar.
The dollar is held by US military power primarily, not economic security. If when an opportunity arises to arm America's adversaries, Russia, Iran and China get scared and do nothing, it's because they will never do anything while we're alive. Any alternative to US will be killed.
The US will arm itself more, create new military bases and show more dominance and pay everything with debt, and the Arabs and China will pay that debt, continue to use dollars and absorb inflation without interfering in the US' path. Unfortunately, that's all the world can see now.
