Israel attacks Gaza Strip

Israeli troops have begun crossing the border into lebenon. Report say at least onE Israeli tank destroyed as it crossed the border. Israel admits to taking casulities. I have a feeling fellas this is going to turn into a major conflict that may draw in Syria....THE WHOLE DAMM WORLD IS GOING CRAZY..IRAN IRAQ AFHGAN, NORTH KOREA, ISRAEL, INDIA, PAK,

MORE BREAKING NEWS. SORCES ARE SAYING A MAJOR CALL UP OF ISRAELLI RESERVES IN NOW HAPPENING. I have a feeling syria may get attacked

Israeli warplanes have been seen over beruit while Leboneese army anti aircraft fire was reported to being fired on Israeli warpalnes and new reports state that as many as 7 israeli troops have been killed

Well what did you expect? IDF troops were attacked from Lebanese territory and IDF responded… If Lebanese army can’t stop Hezbollah form attacking Israel then IDF has legitimate right to respond and neutralize that threat… And Syrian and Lebanese army don’t have any means to stop them…
I’m not saying that this is politically and strategically smartest move Israeli government could make but I for one can understand why they are doing it…

I heard a news report this morning that said that Isreal threatened to bomb Lebonon 20 years back to the past...Oh brother...The news report I heard says Isreal hold the Government of Lebonon responsible for this act of kidnapping.

It's so..'cause that's where I heard the report.

I see this situation deteoraiting very quickly. If Israel invades any of the bordering countries, Lebanon or Syria, all hell will break loose. The retoric will stop and the bullets and missiles will start to fly.

I pray and hope for some peaceful solution..Why? Because war sucks.

I think it is time for israel to finnish this once and for all. If it takes major strikes against syria and tanks moving into the outskirts of damascus then so be it. If I were the Israelis I would dish out a can of whoop ass the world has not seen in a long time. But hey this is just my opinion.

A swift, overwhelming and devsating attack may end this conflict in a quck manner. But Hamas, Hezbollah and others will never ever give up the fight. This whole conflict started about 6000 years ago and will continue .....

Umm....Lebanon wasn't a good experience for the Israelis, French, or the Americans. Hizbullah is much more heavily armed than Hamas, they have thousands of fighters as well as hundreds of thousands of syphatizers, they are pre-dominately Shitte (one thing about Shittes: they're pretty crazy and ruthless on the battlefield...) but also have massive Sunni support, and are backed by countries (Syria and Iran). The most Israel will do is conduct air strikes. I doubt Israel is in the mood of going into Beirut again but if they do, oh man...they already have taken seven casualties and this is just the start of the operation. Just wait till Hezbullah counter-attacks...

I have just seen a news clip with a long line of Merkava 4. yes I say again merkava 4. not 3 or 2 but 4. This is very interesting as it is the heaviest and best combat power Israel has. They may have about 100 of these in their whole invertory. So the question is what are they going to do with them. maybe kill a few T-72's?????

I doubt the Lebanese are going to use tanks. That would be complete suicide. Anti-tank infantry is the way to go. Also, did the armored veichle that was hit... was that also a Merkava 4 as well?
