This is a Russian radar built under license. When is India able to complete Uttam radar? Is it for Mk2 or Mk1A Tejas? I heard years ago from Jai Hinds that Uttam is ready and will be best AESA radar in Asia. Much better than J-10B PESA and J-10C AESA and even better than J-16's and J-20's. Two years later and still no Uttam radar in service for war.

How many of these are actually entirely developed in India and made? So many past picture spam posts on this thread were of Israeli and Russia radars and those surveillance radars aren't really military equipment. In fact most of these are high school/ college level projects. Might have some limited usefulness in meteorological surveys and geo engineering.

Kaveri will soon receive an all new distortion tolerant fan module. The module has already been fabricated and will soon enter bench tests.

I thought after GTRE abandoned Kaveri because they couldn't make it work, SNECMA promised to develop it and then went back on their promise after some review. SAFRAN after that and after the Rafale deal promised to "remake" Kaveri into M88 basically. Is this what it is?

Could be. Work on kaveri and its derivatives are going on.

I would think so, a fully completed Kaveri whether it is F414 based or M88 based, will be the mainstay engine for Tejas and developments as well as AMCA at least as one more option if F414 or EJ engines can't be secured. It would be India's self sufficient turbofan which aren't limited by sanctions and parts from politics. The issue would be working out the specifics of the deal with the French in terms of total ownership of technology and no limits to production as well as full domestic production no matter how much it becomes an M88. Could see way more than 36 Rafales to get this in the bank.
