In any even it should be clear that these tanks are fighting a loosing battle. Unless they get some form of upgrade we are going to keep seeing these videos.

How many HJ-8s they have left? China might be reluctant to sell more of it because of their non interference policy.

Depends on where the Gulf States are getting those missiles from. I doubt Sudan would see new missiles anytime soon even if Beijing didn't reject a new order from them out of hand, but there are plenty of other countries that operate HJ8s (some of who have their own HJ8 production lines) which are either sympathetic with the aims of the Gulf States and their rebel allies in Syria, or who just won't care all that much so long as the money is good.

In short, it would be pretty hard if not impossible for China to stop additional HJ8 missiles and systems from getting into Syria.

Its a product of the 1990s technology boost for the PLA. I doubt any front line Chinese units would use HJ8 today. But its younger then the tanks its killing. Which is part of its edge.

Rebels use HJ-8's to to blow up helicopters.

That helicopter of course was on the ground at its base. That tells me that the Syrian Army must be very short in recon team or infantry to guard those bases to prevent an enemy from getting that close to shoot off an HJ-8 ATM.

In that first video missiles flight time was around 17 seconds (that's what my 50€ phone claims) and HJ-8's flight speed is roughly 220 meters per second, so they were almost 4km away from the target.

China elite PLAN marine still uses HJ-73 but of course its upgrade variant. And do not forget HJ-8 is still more compact than HJ-9 ATGM. I am sure many Chinese unit still uses this HJ-8 ATGM including front line one.
