HJ-8 ATGM in Syria

Iranian revolutionary guards are at work with the Assads forces, now they are relying more on infantry than tanks

Syrian army is hopeless as is the rest of the Syrian militray, they made big mistakes in the early days of the demonstrations which has led to this situation but now Al Kuds and other Iranian elements are doing the business in Syria

They are well trained and have been doing this kind of warfare for decades, they are doing it again in Syria

Even If Assad goes the Iranians will outlast Assads regime, Iran has a back up force to reassure Hezbollah they are still in the game, if anyone can go guerrilla warfare it's the Iranain Basij units

Battle of God’s Doors – Rebels destroy warehouses and a tank – the video
shows a guided missile hitting a target in the distance (SAA armor unit?)– The location
is most probably the ammunition depot near Mahin in southeast Homs
province 02/11

Given the relationship between his regime and Russia... Never. Syria was basically Warsaw pact and even if all the Syrian tanks were to bite the dust Putin would just send more. Russia has plenty.

Is that the crew or infantry using the tank for cover? Because those guys were on the move damn quick after the tank got hit.

That looks like infantry, Iranians have been training Syrian army how to integrate tanks and infantry recently we are seeing more use of infantry along with heavy armour

Syrian army has no idea how to use infantry, so it means they are being trained by someone because at the start of this war they were shocking in thier tactics now they have adjusted and developed and do much better job

Revolutionary guards are no longer advisor they are now taking part in the militray operations, the funerals of Iranian officers are becoming more frequent in Tehran, they join the list of "Iranian Martyrs"

You are excluding yen possibility that the Syrians were able to learn from their mistakes. You'd be amazed at how quickly people adapt and pick up new skills when their lives are on the line.

The Iranians are no doubt playing a big part, as are they Hezbollah allies, but I think their role and contribution has been greatly exaggerated (and so is likely the role of Islamic extremists on the rebel side) and it is the Syrians themselves that are doing the bulk of fighting and dying. Neither side could have lasted this long if they were relying primarily on external support rather than its own populous.
