So the "Fatcats" that are in jail then? how do they continue to operate their 惠台 policy while in jail?

Senior level employees in any organizations tend to set the atmosphere and expectation of their workplaces. When senior level officials are arrested for corruption as recently as earlier this year, it doesn't create much confidence in the agency does it? unless you think CCDI has caught all of fatcats.

14. The job at hand right now is to lay out the economic and political realities of how things will turn out if the DPP is allowed to continue with its insanity [...]

Xiangyu's analysis about the DPP's potential strategy within this decade is interesting, although I have to disagree on the high probability that the US will not intervene. This recent Taiwan-US provocation has emboldened it's leaders and nationalists and therefore the PLA needs to accelerate its modernization to decrease the chances that the US military may intervene in the event that Taiwan declares independence and forceful reunification is required.

"the chances that the US military may intervene" ...

... is Zero

What Washington wants to see is Chinese killing Chinese while the Western media bubble screams with hysteria to isolate China and consolidate the European vassal club. The "Taiwanese Gambit" has the same scriptwriters as the "Ukrainian Gambit".

sure, things could be what you have foreshadowed, however without concrete evidence, nothing can be confirmed, in the meanwhile, the banishing of many food imports/exports suppliers and the lists of the organizations in relation to DPP that is to be banned is indeed happening right now, and assuming more in the following days.

"situation alleviated" more like moving out of the way of the exercises
In a few days we'll see how US comes out of this humiliated like in pretty much every interaction the last decade.

People still think this was some grand genius trap by the US, even when Taiwan tried to rescind her at the last moment and the only reason Pelosi went through was her ego to "go down in history" as an individual.

What international signal does it send when the moment Pelosi leaves, Taiwan has missiles flying over it and government forces are freely entering and shooting in what the rebel leadership considers its own territory? While the US Pacific Fleet is running scared to the East?

And of course, that's without even speculating whatever China would plan using such exercises as a cover in the very near future.

America fumbled and overplayed their hand. The status quo wasn't bad for them, but now they're seen as the instigator and the status quo changes against them. All they get out of it is Pelosi herself gaining temporary fame. 1 night in Taiwan voiding 30 years of the Mainland not crossing the median line, and the Mainland won't even get blamed for it because US started the conflict.

Once Biden was forced to go public, it was beyond easy for China to lock him into either instigating the conflict or take massive loss of face by sending Pelosi home.

US netizens celebrating now are like when the Russians were celebrating the toothless NATO back when they took Crimea, not aware the political cost would turn Ukraine and EU against them and sanctions would destroy their long term growth. Except its even worse, because at least Russia managed to put Crimea under military control, not just send 1 official there to talk with local rebels and then let her fuck off home after a single day.

Back on topic please.

I'd like to advise people that a report function exists for a reason, and that publicly calling for moderator intervention for the explicit of banning people is not allowed.
There are proper ways to do this, and sometimes it may require you to be patient and wait.
Sometimes it might take a big longer than usual.
Exercising impulse control is a good thing.

I see this as a win for China if it allows them to normalize military exercises within Taiwan's territorial waters. We'll see in the next few days if they're able to pull it off without significant US involvement.

Just ignore the blatant shill. Funny how Uyghurs have higher life expectancy than Americans, let alone American minorities.

Interestingly, US did end up being a major driver of Uyghur rights. Their ridiculous fake accusations caused so much blowback that people are now widely interested in uyghur culture, uyghur food and Xinjiang products. In the past, such stuffs were considered low class, tribal and poor, now its considered hip and a statement of hawkishness against America.

The cultural capital of Uyghurs increased many times over due to US.

Enough of this off topic rant though. I just wanted to say I like the new prominence of Xinjiang products and Uyghurs becoming assertive to promote themselves all over China.
What westoids fail to realize is that ethic minorities like Tibetans and Uyghurs are generally more patriotic than Han Chinese due to decades of favorable policies.

When China annexes US in the future, the PLA should send in hordes of Uyghurs on horseback to raze and massacre civilians in conquered American cities. Imagine a 300lb neolib ameritard with the testosterone levels of a castrated platypus getting decapitated by a Uyghur, Genghis Khan style.

What I would give to witness such a glorious sight.
