I was wondering if it was economical to upgrade just one OHP under GENESIS programme now it makes more sense following is from Warship magazine
Is the plan to just fit the GENESIS combat management system or is there plan to upgrade the weapons and sensors?
The upgrades to Turkish ships appear extensive.

I've noticed that many PN sailors have beards while PAF pilots are for the most part clean shaven except maybe for a neatly trimmed moustauche. My guess is probably because of the oxygen mask they pilots have to wear unlike their naval breathens.

LOL, navy officers in classic/traditional look. Popular in 19th and early 20th century, especially in British empire navy, among others.

I was just thinking when PN has all four Oliver Perry Class frigates they will need a helo to go with it the obvious choice for PN would be additional Z9C, PN operates 6 of them for use with the F22P frigates and they have been testing them off the OHP frigates too so I would guess that PN should add another six Z9C helos to its fleet
Then we have the same situation if we go for four more FFG from China which means another 6 helos required
It would mean the helo fleet for PN could include 18 x Z9C helos for use with 12 frigates, I would like to see the latter helos being the upgrade Z9D which can carry light anti-ship missiles as apposed to just one torpedo
And finally operating of UAV from Pakstani frigates has been on going for a few years expansion in this field would be good as usually only a single helo is carried on PN vessals when that lands back for refuelling or re-arming the UAV can be the eyes in the sky maintaining surveillance

I agree with you on that, but as things stand in Pakistan, the leaders will do as asked of them so why not let the PN have the goodies it needs. I am sure PN may even like to have Ticonderoga-class cruiser
as they get retired, but alas they will likely never be part of FMS deal for PN now or in future, but one can still hope.Someone correct me if I am wrong, but almost all upcoming FFG-7s are extended hauls, meaning the new 3 FFG-7 Pak Nany has been slated for can accommodate 2 Helos.

Well if you had checked the pictures you can see that PNS Alamgir has two hangers
Do you know what a Tico Class is? Why would Pakistan want such a ship which is for a carrier strike group element when they don't operate a carrier

Few weeks back first ever PN warship visited Russia
Correct the current OHP has two hangers, thanks for info. Yes I know what Tico were designed for, was using the logic to explain that it's ok to accept FMS items, guess you missed my simple explanation or point of view, no big deal. Have a cool one ( coke, Pepsi) and we will call it day, no need to fire .50 cal out of good ol' fashion .357 specially when 38 special will do the job just fine.
