I have learnt that the Air Force of Zimbabwe employs PL-9 missiles. Which of the F-7 upgrade radars (upgraded around 2005) would cue PL-9s?

Thanks,
Chaminuka.

I would say all-and-only the Chinese made F-7 radars can do it.

Here's a follow-up on the F-7G sale:

By now, things have changed. SLAF recently took delivery of six F-7G aircraft which will primarily be used for interceptor role. Unlike the older F-7BS and FT-7 aircraft which the SLAF has been operating for over a decade, these modernized versions feature advanced avionics, upgraded engine, improved radar (KLJ-6E), surveillance capabilities and the ability to fire a range of air to air missiles.

Hi,
Sino-Bangladesh defence cooperation has been steadily growing since 1976. In 2007 Bangladesh became the biggest recipient of armaments form China in the world.
BAF has been operating 22 F-7MG since eighties. In 2007 we bought 36 F-7BG. Could any one in this forum rate these F-7BGs within the spectrum of all variants of F7/J7 please?

are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure you guys got 12 F-7BG + 4 FT-7BG. Unless, you ordered more after that. Or maybe you already put in orders for JF-17?

As for F-7BG, it's probably up there with the Nigerian and Namibian and Sri Lankan one as the latest.

I am very sure we have purchased 36 of these. I am from the Defence Industry myself. We have shown some interest on FC-1 eariler but currently our focus has shifted to J10s (if PRC).
Thanks.

Interesting, I guess there will be more deliveries then. I'm not sure J-10s at this point are officially cleared for export though.
