>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MODERATOR'S INSTRUCTION <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Okay, more suspensions and warnings. Just a few days ago I had to warn this thread and posters in it about going off topic from the ADIZ, and posting political and atagonistic posts.

Now it is happening again.

The following actions have been taken:

LesAdieux has been suspended for a week.

Jobed has been warned.

Stay on topic. Do not post political or antagonistic comments.

If it continues, more posters will be suspended, and the thread will be closed permanently.

You forgot to mention that there are about 800 flights by foreign military aircrafts into the zone.

did these 800 flight of foreign military aircraft also report their flight path to Chinese authorities ? and from what countries ?

No I don't think they reported. It's never mentioned in the briefing as well. Their nationalities are not announced, where the phrase 'other countries and regions' are used.

The 800 unreported flights is before or after the ADIZ implementation?? China just implemented on 23rd November, so about 1 month + for 800 flights is quite a lot or the zone really been pretty busy lately.

I presume China would be more "aggressive" once her army is more capable (where's the J-15 or J-20? to be ready). Good practice at the moment. Enemy at the gates situation for China and urgency of it.:p

It is not "enemy at the gates," at all.

The area is in international waters...and it is a busy area, where the US, Japan, S. Korea, and others regularly fly military exercises.

China has decided it wants to monitor this area as an ADIZ to ensure that it knows if any aircraft are flying a threatening flight plan directed at the mainland. If they do, I am sure they will 1st attempt to warn them...if they are far enough out...and then intercept if the do not respond and keep coming and see what they are up to.

If they are not flying toward the mainland, they will just monitor them and leave them alone.

I doubt any of the military aircraft from these other nations will ever file their military exercise flight plans with the PRC.

Exactly, and all this bellicosity is a passion-play for not only a local, but international attention, folks like to talk "smack", and show off their new toys, this is also a "justification" to your populace to show the need for better equipment to meet that perceived "threat". The danger is of course "proximity".
