>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MODERATOR COMMENT <<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Alright guys, there have been two of us Mods who instructed certain types of discussions unrelated to the ADIZ to stop. Hint: Putting in a few comments about the ADIZ couching other comments about China or Japan being fascist, or seeking or wanting to invade, and basic inflammatory comments does not make it okay.

port-08 earned a one week vacation/suspension.

Dizasta1 earned a warning. Next infraction brings a suspension.

Stay on topic. Stay away from inflammatory/baiting/attacking rhetoric filled with emotion.

^^ I appreciate that you're moderating this topic Jeff and I understand that you don't want us to go off topic. But my post was in no way intended to be inflammatory. It's the truth, which ever way you look it.

Oh well ..... it's alright my friend, I acknowledge your post (warning).

See ya'll around!

This does make the PLAAF (or is it CAF Kyle?) seem quite short legged.

ROFL... China doesn't have any IL-78s...

With regards to aerial refuelling and AEWC, we should note that while having the provision to stay in the air beyond an aircraft's normal endurance is useful, your crew and controllers probably can't do missions longer than an aircraft's non refuelled endurance anyway.

His statement about the Y-20 being inferior to western aircraft is amusing, because outside of C-17, Y-20 is actually better than all other strategic air lifters in the pipeline, including A400M, XC-2, KC-390, etc.

But it is refreshing that mizokami is focusing on some of the support aircraft of the PLAAF. It is a shame he doesn't mention KJ-200 or the vast array of Y-8 GX aircraft

That's what I was thinking. He seemed to focused on the spec sheet in my opinion. Does anyone know if US fly their tankers for 22 hours straight? If so, how does it work? Do they rotate crews?

That I agree with 100%. It's cool to see someone talk about the support aircraft for a change. Also it is too bad he didn't talk about the smaller AWEC planes like the KJ-200, since these are types most often flown in the now ECS ADIZ. I actually thought the KJ-2000 flight last time was somewhat of a showoff than an actual mission requirement.

I wonder is there gonna be normalization of bilateral relationship between China and japan anytime soon with the current leaderships?

I would imagine it would be difficult as neither side are willing to back down and compromise

Xi and Abe pretty much play the same tunes to the domestic audiences, neither willing to back down on Diaoyu issues.
Which from a military standpoint is actually good, justified spending for those ships and planes.

Watch the story evolve, there will be lots of drama and escalation but no conflict, or anything that both sides can't back down from.

You're mixing Senkaku with gas fields and it's joint developement which prospects were starterd some 10 years ago in this case. You should look at the maps, learn about China-Japan dividing line and stop posting informations about it in this very thread as it absolutely doesn't even have anything to do with ADIZ and more with EEZ of both countries. Period.
