Yes they lecture us. We just lecture them right back. China and US are both big boys and they didn't get their FEELINGs hurt in the process. When you are a superpower, everyone wants something from you, everyone complain to and about you. the first thing you do is grow some thicker skin and carry on. On the other hand, do you really want the US stop lecturing other countries about human right and actually improve their own human rights, take care of their own people, and fiercely protect their own economy and jobs? in other words, do you REALLY want the US to behave as well as China?

About Orlin, he is clearly friendly and just towards China (for the interest of HIS COUNTRY of course). If you talk about someone like him in that kind of tune, how do you interact with westeners in your daily life? I thought we Chinese people pride ourselves for our 礼义廉耻.

We Chinese people failed to properly handle the division among us about Taiwan and HK and gave the west a chance to hurt us. Am I frustrated by some of the radical movements in HK and Taiwan? Yes. But I want to ask you, how is your name calling suppose to help the Chinese people heal and unite? How is your name calling making China better and stronger?

In case you've been under a rock for the last 12 months, China handled those HK cockroaches just fine.

Heal and unite? ROFL!

Even the HK police that were on the frontline, fought the radicals for HK, bled for their country didn't share your attitude. There is sadness and a sense of lost that things had come to this, even among the police who are clearly loyal to China. And many people said the Olympic metals helped the HK to heal. Correct me if I am wrong, but I just don't think many people are laughing with you.

Hong Kong was and isn't a country. The rest of your comments I can sympathize.

If it's not clear from the sentence structure, their (HK police) country is China. They raise the flag of PRC. They uphold the HK national security law, which is a national law rather than a HK law. Even their marching is PLA style now. I am trying to emphasize they are as loyal to China as any forum members here. I don't think they are treating/laughing at radical rebels as cockroaches.

The term cockroach came from HKPD. Just saying.

Lol Blinken also does these human rights lectures, are you saying Blinken is also engaging China? Besides you were sympathetic to these lecture but now you are changing your tune? The world would definitely be a better and much more peaceful place without US inference. China was all for globalization until recently due to US sanctions, if the US adopts the same globalization stance then it’s good for everyone. China‘s success is due to its ability to compete not due to some protectionist trickery.

I don’t know about you but I don’t let some drug addicted westerner lecture to me about how to live life even if they are friendly.(Just for analogy)

How do you deal with racism? First you have to call it out for what it is. The same applies here, only when you crack down these forces can there be unity, like what China has done in HK. So yes China would be better when these puppets can no longer hide.

ok got it.
IF both HK police and Solarz were using the term cockroach on the most radical and violent elements in HK, then I apologize for the false assumption. I thought he was referring to the broader democratic camp, which is now pretty much gone. I was talking about the broader division among HKers, pro establishment vs pro democratic. and the broader pro democratic camp was collectively regarded as western puppets.

What attitude is that, exactly? Are you saying the HK police want to "heal and unite" with the terrorists who stabbed one of their own to death? Or the insurgents who threw molotovs at them? Or the murderers who set that man on fire?
