Now how's that going to happen? Does the PLAN have;

1)Logistical supply line to main two CV strike groups?
2)Trained up crews & pilots?
3)Enough aircraft?
4)Does either ship have have a jet maintenance shop?
5)Fully functional aircraft maintenance departments aboard both ships? High performance jet aircraft do have major maintenance needs.

I'll stop there.

There's a lot involved in sending a properly trained and fully operational Aircraft Carrier on a deployment. There really is.

I was hoping my cheeky smile at the end would give away my sarcasm but maybe not

No question that PLAN is not ready yet it was just a thought

Sustaining 2 full strength carrier groups far from home is a serious under taking

I guess J-15 is outdated in comparison to stealth fighters.

I don't think that is the reason J15 is still a potent aircraft with its longer range, agility and and bomb carrying capacity. It is modern aircraft with new material and new avionic and radar. Even now the US navy now regret retiring F14

Stealth is more of hype than not and have very short shelves life There are all kind of radar out there that can detect stealth

We don't see new J15 does not mean they are no longer produce It is more of priority J16 is more important as it is China tactical bomber and need to be produced in large number
Anyway following Liaoning precedent the air wing won't get operational 2 years after she is commission, there are still plenty of time to produce J15 I bet we will seeing new J 15 sometime next year

Other than that, China is more than ready for 2 CBG I read somewhere that Liaoning has 2 or 3 spare crew and the 2 big oiler is ready, 2 type 55 will be commission next year or so Plenty of type 52D. New berth is ready they have been working on on it for some years now. I don;t understand why people say China is not ready for 2 CBG other than hubris

Putting two carrier in Sea is easy

Putting them out close to home is easy

But let’s say Mediterranean? Hell of a task

Sustaining a carrier strike group far from home while performing carrier opps is a very very tough job

Like holding a heavy weight dumbbell while having your arm fully extended away from your body

J 20 is more than just stealth there is EOT, HMD, Data fusion, New radar new avionic, new radar , new missile a whole bunch of technology It is a generational leap compare to J 10. China need to keep up with new technology or else she will fall behind NOt to mention revitalize and upgrade the industrial base to support the technology Think of hundred of plants, research institute , universities and thousand of engineer It is breath taking undertaking

So yeah J20 is more than just stealth
