No it probably doesn't. With 24 J-15s and three helicopters on deck, the deck is basically fully used up for a pre launch pattern for cyclical operations. Just because you have deck space for additional aircraft in theory doesn't mean it is viable to add them for effective operations.
Keep in mind as well that below decks in the hangar they need space for additional helicopters, as they require ASW and AEW and SAR helicopters in addition to the three on deck.
Oh, and that image is a CGI made by 大包, in case anyone thinks this is real. His signature is on it, and this image is based off the recent real images and videos we had.
I fondly remember sitting in my dad's workplace cafeteria as a young boy all those years ago, when I happened to look up and saw the CCTV broadcast about the commissioning of CV-16. It left a really deep impression on me back then, even though I had no idea just how significant of a milestone it represented for the PLAN.
And now, all of a sudden, Liaoning has served for 10 years already! How time flies! It's hard to believe just how much has happened in the past decade, but I'm sure the best is yet to come, for the PLAN and ourselves too.
