I'll see your two anecdotal examples and raise you a 60% increase in Chinese overseas student who returned home in 2020:

26% of those students were from the UK, 16% from Australia, and 13% from US. All countries with large numbers of Covid-19 infections throughout the year of 2020.

BTW, the woman in the article above wasn't even someone who was trying to flee the pandemic. She was simply assigned to China by her employer.
I don't disagree with you here. I didn't see why you had to insult me previously. We have no way of knowing if she was assigned, or she requested reassignment to a different location because of the pandemic.

The students have to go back. Physical classes are cancelled. There's nothing patriotic or unpatriotic about international students going back. They have no reason to continue staying.

More negative reporting from the impartial British mouthpiece, the BBC.

Instead of praising China's efforts, it start off with...... "in the land where the virus was first discoved" says it all really.

Well I don't see a problem with that. At least now they are saying the place where it was 'first discovered', instead of 'the virus' hatching point' or some nonsense like that. As they say, even a criminal is capable of doing a good deed once every thousand years.

Nah... this probably has more to do with a variant showing up in their country so they don’t want to have it labelled as ‘UK virus’ so they have change the way of they address it or they would be fair game... it’s likely to be self-interest more than a good deed

I think you missed the nuances and subtlety of the BBC report. It is a matter of fact, that Covid was first discover in China. We all know that, this is not news. Nor this information is relevant on the BBC report.

Her report is about the chinese vaccines. But she took a snide side swipe at China right at the beginning of her report. This is how propaganda works, and it sets the tone of her report. Also, notice how under the microscope this report is for China's vaccines. But when the west rolled out it's vaccines, the BBC didn't bother to do the same type of report.

Indeed, with the new strain of Covid discover in the U.K. the BBC hardly ever mentions this.

This is why I said about the impartial negative British government mouthpiece AKA BBC.

On the face of it. It's sound quite harmless. The report sounded quite normal. But deep down it's not. I refer you to my post above to see what I was trying to say.

After visiting the Biosafety level 4 lab in Wuhan WHO gives it the thumbs up.

"I know of that lab very well, it's an excellent virology lab and has been very successful in contributing to research of SARS-like virus that might arise in the future. Unfortunately because the nature of the research being done there is very closely related to the current matter, people have instead decided to attack this lab, ironic."
