104/7400 equal 1.41% of the U.S. population being already infected with the Covid 19 virus about one year ago.

How long does it take to get from Patient Zero to 1.41% of the population? One year?

That could mean a few persons first got infected with an early strain of the Covid-19 virus in the U.S. sometime during Jan 2019.

One year is a very long time. Are we supposed to believe that a coronavirus outbreak was happening in the U.S. since the beginning of 2019 without the U.S CDC knowing?
It’s west coast samples with lots of travel so we can only make guesses about that area.

From the research article,

To determine if SARS-CoV-2 reactive antibodies were present in sera prior to the first identified case in the U.S. on January 19, 2020, residual archived samples from 7,389 routine blood donations collected by the American Red Cross from December 13, 2019 to January 17, 2020, from donors resident in nine states (California, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin) were tested at CDC for anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.

Any which way, the 1.41% infection rate of the tested part of the population at that time points to the outbreak of the virus having started across the U.S. much earlier than the reported first case, possibly half a year to one year earlier.

I'm sure there are people in the US government that just think they can blame everything on China hence why they did nothing. Just think about how Trump and Rudy Giuliani got this cocktail of drugs that is apparently very effective in treating people infected with COVID-19 that no one else seems to be able to get. They try to add it's expensive but really if it works, scientists can find a way to make it cost less. Here's where some conspiracies I can think up on how they came about this treatment and why no one has even heard about it except when some important people got infected.

"Dimas Covas, director of Butantan biomedical research institute that is running the late-stage trial of the Sinovac vaccine in Brazil, said it now has 74 confirmed cases among its trial participants, above the 61 initial milestone set for interim efficiency analysis."

I am getting concerned why efficacy results for Sinovac have not been released An independent committee was supposed to release the efficacy results in the first week of December, either the results are very good or very bad, and they are now double checking... I assume the result is either lower than 70% (being lower than Astra-zeneca) or higher than 95% (higher than moderna/pfizer), both of which would be causes for a delay.

Independent is such a loose term. There was that comedy skit I saw somewhere that showed fake Pfizer and Moderna executives trying to outbid each other over efficacy of their vaccines. What's more likely is Pfizer and Moderna efficacy is being spun. Probably still good enough but not by that much. I'm watching the experts on TV where like the news make no mention of China's vaccine where even one was being independently reviewed unlike any of the ones you heard from Western countries and when Pfizer came out with theirs they all talked about it was the first vaccine to show promise. It's like UN committees who are mostly controlled by Western countries. How about how they laugh how China is a part of the UN human rights committee. They act like human rights violation is something foreign in their histories. They ain't more credible.

China’s job is to sell the vaccine, what happens afterwards is the respective government’s responsibility. If they don’t trust Chinese stuff then they can shop elsewhere.

Peru halts Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine trials after volunteer develops neurological problems
  • The National Institute of Health suspended the trial of a shot made by the Chinese firm after a volunteer had difficulty moving their arms
  • Peru’s trials for the vaccine were due to conclude this week, after testing around 12,000 people

One participant of the trial developed problem moving his/her arms. Some post-infection (not necessarily COVID, can be bacterial or viral infection) autoimmune disease that involves the nervous system can cause such symptom, in a condition called the Guillain-Barre syndrome, as happened in the U.S. in 1976.

The real victims of this pandemic were likely the 450-odd people who came down with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, after getting the 1976 flu shot. On its website, the CDC notes that people who got the vaccination did have an increased risk of “approximately one additional case of GBS for every 100,000 people who got the swine flu vaccine.”

Several theories as to why this happened exist, they say, “but the exact reason for this link remains unknown.” As for the flu shot today, the CDC writes, if there is any increased risk it is “very small, about one in a million. Studies suggest that it is more likely that a person will get GBS after getting the flu than after vaccination.”

There was a similar case during the AstraZeneca trial. Yet the trial continued. Hopefully this can be cleared up quickly so the trial results can be announced in the next few weeks.

Brazil has already announced 2 weeks ago that the efficacy results would be released on Dec 15. Not sure what you need to worry about. What happened in Brazil right now is political. Jair Bolsonaro rejects Chinese vaccines and is doing everything to sabotage the Chinese vaccines by installing his military allies within the anvisa. It is reasonable for Sinovac and its Brazil partner to delay the announcement after the Pfizer vaccine approval to avoid the extra attention.

As for the efficacy rate being low, that is not something that we should be concerned of. Just let the experts, professionals, and science do the work. Although, Hong Kong and a few other countries have already ordered vaccines from Sinovac so the interim results should be fine. More likely it is comparable with Sinopharm 86% efficacy rate.

Sorry to Jair, but he wont get Pfizer for a few months, since that belongs to 5 eyes. I am sure Indonesia, Turkey, or even Chile would love to take the earlier doses instead... or perhaps Doria can cause more shit on the side, since he is governor of Sao Paolo.
